“This place was absolutely wonderful! It’s not always easy to find vegetarian in Independence, however this had options both with meat and just vegetables. The hospitality was amazing! I got the hummus sandwich and it really hit the spot! My husband got the vegetable sandwich and really enjoyed it. When we were about to leave the owner came out to make sure we enjoyed our meal and offered us some delicious digestive tea. I cannot wait to eat here again!”

“I have been waiting for this Charlie D’s to open and it finally is. Walked in and was greeted by staff and my order was taken, I don’t think I even had to wait more than 10-15 minutes for my freshly fried catfish and that was with about 4 or 5 people ahead of me. The options are a wide variety of chicken and seafood. The catfish is FANTASTIC, perfectly crisp and perfectly seasoned. Definitely will be back again to try more menu items.”

“This third generation pit master has got it going on from the burnt ends to the beans and everything in between his hickory smoked meats and poultry can be topped with his family recipe sauce that would stand up to any but truthfully you don't even need it. This family man is "all in" and dedicated to providing you with the best q possible, he has put his spin on family recipes and only made what was already awesome even better. Sounds like they either have a smaller kitchen or one cook, so food does take a little bit of time. It is worth the wait though! And the food is pretty good but the laser tag was my absolute favorite I'm have seizures and can't really do stuff like that plus since I broken my back last year hadn't done really anything for awhile and I felt as normal as I once was I paid for it later that night but it was so worth the pain! “This Starbucks has a really nice large outdoor sitting area and a really cozy interior. There are lots of comfy chairs around and some high tables as well. The trash can being far from the front door is a little strange but that's just me being used to my normal Starbucks. The staff were helpful and nice, but seemed to be mostly younger and tired by midday. They were very busy.”

If you are in the area traveling or live close by, this place is a must visit if you enjoy a rotating menu of micro brews. I heard through the grapevine this evening that their peanut butter beer should be out late next week or so. I cant wait. Don't forget to arrive late afternoon to show at their home brew and BBQ/grilling store adjacent to the bar/taproom.”

“Took my brother here tonight for his birthday and we both loved it. Staff was very prompt and nice. Food was hot and fresh. Sushi bar was fresh and delicious. Crab Rangoon was the best I have had, they use the thin wraps. Hot and sour soup was very good. The one thing I could criticize is that the general tso's chicken was over cooked and tough. But who cares, they had a lot to choose from. For $10 a person. ?”
