“Consistently good. I was staying close by at a hotel, while working in the area. I went there several times during my stay. Each time it was late at night, when it was mostly a "bar". One would expect a lesser quality of service, but not here. In fact, it seems like we were a priority! The wait staff are easy to talk to and very knowledgeable of the menu. Specials are a must. Food is great, staff is great, atmosphere fantastic!”

“Was in the area and my cousin wanted to try it so we ended up with ribs they were delicious. Pretty good sized ribs too. I expected the normal bbq baked beans but was hit with the sweet flavored beans and they are pretty good. Seems to be priced like every other place I enjoy. The cinnamon roll pancakes are my default order. They are so fluffy and enormous (in a good way). They have just the perfect amount of flavor that syrup isn't even necessary.”

“This was my first time ever having custard and it is SO good! I had the David Cookie and it was like a chocolate bar gave birth to other chocolate bars with a peanut butter dad in my mouth. Chocolate peanut butter taste explosion. Also the staff at the 291 Lee's Summit were super friendly. Thanks for serving up the ever so "essential" custard in times of pandemic (also I'm sorry I was a customer, my boyfriend surprised me with it and just whipped into the drive-thru because he knows how I've been wanting to try it).”

“Service is great. Hibachi side is pretty standard. No real complaints. Sushi side preparation is fine but quality/freshness of the fish leaves something to be desired. Not particularly flavorful. Mostly dry with overcompensation of cream cheese, mayo, and avocado to make the filling sort of a mush on the rolls. Hoping it was an off night. Or maybe it’s just what the people around here like. Not my personal taste.”

“First time ordering and we got the brisket sandwich with fries, Back Porch Double up which is 2 meats and we picked pork and brisket with fries. We split this and we only ate half of it. Lots of meat on this sandwich! A side of baked beans seasoned very well and mozzarella sticks. He gave us a side of cheesy corn (since it was our first time) which our son devoured. We will be back!”

“This used to be The Egg & I. Same menu, same staff. New name for corporate reasons. No more The Egg & I hot sauce, but we win some we lose some. This location will eventually shut down and be replaced by a First Watch in the new development over by Lowe's and Target. Enjoy this breakfast gem in Lees Summit while it lasts. Everything we had was pleasantly authentic Italian... from homemade fresh pasta, the Alfredo sauce was more creamy than cheesy, meatballs tasted fresh made, not reheated from frozen, and my chicken piccata (what’s left of it is pictured below) was delicious. It’s nicer inside that I would have thought from the outside (being in a strip mall) and the wait staff and kitchen folks were very polite, solicitous and quick. Last thing: homemade yeasty, garlicky rolls. HEAVEN.”

I ordered the hummus and veggie wrap but had a hard time finding/tasting the hummus which was pretty disappointing. Also, the veggies were more of a coleslaw mix with celery, tomatoes, and olives, but the Parmesan cheese sauce was tasty at least.”

“Great Goodcents! BUT....... The only thing that could be better is the staff in the evenings. The young men that were there the last time I was there in the evening basically had things closed up an hour before closing and seemed very inconvenienced when I came in for a sandwich. The first thing they started telling me is what they didn't have; I assume it is because they had cleaned it up already. They seemed even more inconvenienced when another person walked through the door after me. I thought about staying to eat, just to pull a chair down and use a table since they already had chairs upside down on tables an hour before closing. It was very apparent that the staff working would have liked to give the impression they had closed so people wouldn't go in and they would have less work to do and could get out and on with their Friday night a little early.”
