“We have been regular customers of the Shaved Duck since they opened in South City over 10 years ago so we were very excited to hear that they were opening a second location in Kirkwood! We had them cater our wedding at The Bluffs on Broadway this past Saturday, October 9th and everything was incredible! Pulled pork, chicken, brisket, mac-n-cheese, zucchini squash veggie dish and salad were our choices. All through the day, our guests told us that it was the best food they’d ever had at a reception!! “Excellent food. Steaks were perfect and salad wonderful - "real" Ceasar Salad.Service was very good. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. Even though restaurant was very busy we were able to carry on a conversation. Desserts were outstanding. I had the bread pudding that had whipped cream and a piece of chocolate that melted by the warm pudding. The piece was huge, so loved being able to take some home.”

“I want to share taking my Mom to dinner. We parked getting out we were greeted by this young lady smiling and welcoming us to Lions Choice as she entered the back of the building. To us it was just a very nice gesture. We ordered our food which was excellent. I mentioned to the manager about the young cheerful lady working. I went back up there and said this is a direct reflection of the Management at this Lion's Choice they thanked us. Every employee was working and in a good mood. Good vibes. Its very refreshing to see this positive atmosphere. Kudos to this team!”

“Restaurant was clean. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. I had a bowl of Orange chicken & chow mein for $6.49 and their unsweet mango tea to drink for $1.90. It was all tasty. The employees were professional and it was evident they cared about the quality of the food they had to serve. My daughter ordered some of their crab rangoon but they weren't as sweet as other restaurants.”

“We come here often and it is always a good experience. The staff is friendly, and we are always seated quickly. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is decorated well with a pleasant Japanese theme. The ginger dressing on their house salad and Tokyo Garden Salad is amazing! Highly recommend! Miso soup and seaweed salad are also very good. Their sushi, sashimi, and rolls are some of what I would consider the best in town, and reasonably priced. Not the cheapest, but hey, sushi isn't cheap, and if it is, it probably isn't very good! Sometimes it can take a while to get your order, but the quality is good and generally worth the wait if there is one. Good sake selection for those who like to partake. Tokyo Sushi is in our regular rotation, and we plan on keeping it there for a while! Highly recommend!”

“This is one of those tiny hole in the wall hidden gems!! The food was fabulous!! We ordered takeout and it was done in 20 minutes. The owner noticed I had kids with me a threw in a ton of extra fortune cookies at no additional cost. We had fried rice, dumplings, Mongolian beef, and Singapore mai fun. Everything was delicious, huge portions and CHEAP!!! Love it!!!”

“Most the food is quite good. One of the only places that do escargot. Service was quick and friendly. Steaks were perfectly cooked, rainbow trout was excellent. Crab cakes seemed fine although they seemed off, bland and my stomach wasn't up for it...perhaps something with the sauce? I do still look forward to visiting again. Next time I try scallops and the pork!”
