Remarkable experience! The setting was romantic and intimate- perfect for a date night. Service was excellent. The server explained the dishes and cocktails and offered the service of the sommelier, who helped us select a bottle of wine to complement our entrees. The menu was small but offered something for everyone. The monk fish entrée was sumptuous and the cordon bleu was excellent. We would definitely recommend the Maine oysters and steak tartare for appetizers. Thank you for an excellent evening!

Been here twice already. The food was fair at best. Given the extreme compression of the menu you would expect the 4 main dishes to be exceptional. Service was a 3/5, paying high prices for inexperienced waiters is a no no. The salad was boring, the dressing left nothing to the imagination. The chicken was fair, I needed to order more sauce because the chicken couldn't stand on it own. The short rib left me hungry. Unimpressed both times. Not coming back. Only good thing were the wines.

I LOVE Vicia, but this was definitely a disappointment and I tried TWICE!

The food was great. Highly recommend the Cordon Bleu, the chicken was extremely well cooked.
Service was a bit shaky, but that seems to be the case everywhere (drinks took 20 minutes to come out, confirmed our entree order twice, waitress started reciting the dessert menu before all the guests had finished eating, etc).
One nice touch is that they have a sommelier, which is not very common for restaurants on this price point. All of her recommendations were excellent.
I am not a big fan of the decor, preferred the old style of Bar Les Freres. Also there was loud pop music, which took out from the ambience.
I would give 4.5 stars if I could (due to service and ambience), but when on the fence I prefer to round up. Will definitely come back and hope they sort out their service issues.

New French bistro alert 🚨 it’s a 10/10– we ordered the chicken & short rib! Out of the desserts the Perdu dessert was my favorite!

SO excited for this cool, stylish place - like an airy French Bistro. I had the gruyere gougeres - nice starter and perfectly light and flavorful. The smoked trout rillette toast was pretty stunning and my favorite dish I had tonight. Toast was perfect with smoked trout, dill and bright pickled shallots.
Finally I had the Parisian Gnocchi - loved the chanterelles.

The drinks were great as well. Inventive and crisp... I had the Dernier Mots, a twist on a Last Word cocktail.

I was a fan of Bar Les Freres and I'm glad to see the space still used as a French restaurant.
The updates are beautiful and the food is wonderful...
