“I’ve ate there two times now and I think the second time was even better than the first. For a brand new restaurant on the loop, this is perfect. The pricing couldn’t be better either for how fresh everything is. The sushi tastes amazing. I love the bento box with sides of everything because I get the chance to try it all instead of just eating a sushi roll. The box is also custom and just totally aesthetic. Working across the street may be dangerous as I feel myself becoming a frequent flyer at Katsuya. If you’re thinking about trying this place… just do it. Don’t think any further or read any more reviews... and then come back and write one since it was spectacular.”

“Bought a starter Pokemon TCG deck online, and due to a lapse in communication, there was nothing waiting for me at this location. The employee there was very apologetic because they had goofed it up, and let me have a basic booster pack on the house. Didn't have to do that. I'll definitely be coming back (besides tomorrow, to pick up my starter deck.) Living close to this place might be dangerous... ;)”

“We went here for the first time today and I'm happy we did. Delicious pizza with plenty of cheese, great sauce and perfect wood-fired crust. Nice salad as well. The owner greeted us and seemed like a really nice guy. Great to support a vet and black owned business. I was recommending this restaurant before I left! If I had any complaint it would be that the pizza was just warm when it came to the table. I expected hot and bubbly. Still really good, but would have preferred it hotter.”

“Uber Eats had a promotion for “Everyday Essentials” so I decided to try “Best Friends Market & Deli.” I ordered a 12” turkey sub. I had many modifications; the instructions were followed perfectly. The sandwich/sub was delicious! It’s all about the bread...toasted perfectly and it was the perfect consistency! I definitely recommend and I will reorder again.”

“Had a chance to try them for the first time today. I ordered the classic Philly and it was great. The flavors blended perfectly. I would have rated them 5 stars but the atmosphere was not for me. I thanked the cashier for my order she just walked away and continued doing what she was doing. Your food can be so good but if the customer service isn’t A1, I usually don’t support. “We went for my Birthday. We had great service, John was our server and he did a great job, the owner even stopped by our table to check on us. We had Wisconsin Brie to start, it was very good. We then had our salads, great, small house salad. My only complaint there, was the very limited choice of dressing, ranch or a house honey mustard, the was a strawberry, pecan red wine vinaigrette, none of which interested me. Our entree was a variety of meats. Shrimp, a couple of steak choices, pork and chicken. We used the chicken broth to boil the meat in and it was just disappointing, not much flavor and the seasonings that were on the meat came off while boiling. We ended with the flaming turtle chocolate fondue and it was very good along with the fruits, cakes and marshmallows. Overall, the experience was enjoyable. If I returned, it would be for the cheese or the chocolate only. Keep in mind whenever visiting The Melting Pot, you are cooking your own food at the table in a fondue pot. The cheese and chocolate are done by the waiter. You do have choices on the way you cook, broth, oil or grill.”

“Not bad. Not great. Price was reasonable. Ok place to pick up a slice if you have the time. However, I think I would have liked it a bit more if it they could get the slice to me a bit quicker because I don't think it would be a place I would go out of my way to get unless I just needed a quick bite to go. But for context, I ate in the shop. Perhaps their pizza is better when ordered for pickup or maybe they had an off day. It only looked like they had maybe 2-3 workers present when I stopped by, so they could have been short staffed and possibly slammed right before I came in. If I get a chance to stop by there again, I will update my review.”

Apparently this is common between ignorant whites vs. African Americans down in MO. I am white and I am friendly and love everyone. “The Peacock Diner is an awesome place to go at any time of the day or night. The design is just like an old dinner with a modern twist of color. I definitely recommend a milkshake and to enjoy the rotating booth. Depending on the time you go the wait can be a little long, the food however is worth the wait.”
