Awesome Crust. I’d come to just eat pizza bones. Nice outdoor venue, great staff, super table wines selections, and terrific pizza. We’ll be back with friends :-)
Nice pizza joint serving 12” artisan pies made with housemade mozzarella. I got the pepperoni and enjoyed it, particularly the cup and char pepperonis. I also liked that of the five beers on the menu, they happened to have my very favorite beer – Weihenstephaner Hefeweissen.
My least favorite element of the pizza was the crust. It’s Neapolitanesque but without what makes Neapolitan great – the puffy, chewy rim. The crust is floppy and chewy in general, with crisp around the edges. Like I said, I like a chewy crust, but I like it to be puffier.
It was a bit on the pricy end for small pizzas – $17 for a 12” pizza – but it’s certainly worth a try as it’s making waves in the St. Louis pizza scene.
Also, they are only available for carryout and patio dining for now, but it looked like they were working on getting ready for interior dining in the coming weeks.
Pizzeria da Gloria’s food was incredible. You would be hard pressed to find a better pizza in the area. Caesar salad was very good as well - great Caesar dressing. Ordered both the pepperoni and margarita pizzas, both of which tasted like the pizza I experienced while touring Italy. Do yourself a favor and go try this place, you will be impressed!
Delicious!! We loved it. We had the mushroom and the sausage pizzas. Leave them just how they are, there perfect.
