First experience was mixed. The food was excellent. The service, however, struggled. It wasn't particularly busy, but our order got lost or something. After about 25 minutes, someone realized we'd been waiting a long time and checked in on us. They asked what we'd ordered, apologized, and said it'd be up shortly. About 20 minutes later, the food finally showed up. Once again, the food itself was top notch. Despite the 45-minute wait to get it, I am willing to give them another shot, in the hope that this was a one-time issue with the service. I'd give the food 5 Stars. I'd give the service 2 stars. Total ends up at 3 stars... For now. I'll update my rating based on my experience at my next visit.

The name is suspiciously misleading: there’s far more happening here than just pastrami and bagels. Ansel’s is a Super Bowl of flavor, options and value.

Parking is a hassle but you’re in Blackstone and it’s not Ansel’s fault until they’re Mayor.

Heard they had a mean pastrami sandwich... And... It was so good I kinda feel like swearing. That's because parking is crazy in the area and I am not sure how often I will be able to get it again. Well worth the price and effort!

Upscale ,delicious, the sandwiches appear to be small but they are very filling and tasty.

A true-to-style deli in Blackstone, Ansel's delivers house-made bagels, sandwiches, and sides.

The pastrami is excellent, if a bit gristly in places. Paired excellently with mustard greens and kraut for their take on a Reuben sandwich.

Their bagels are boiled in neighbor's Scriptown beer, pending a malty aspect to he crisp exterior. I'd recommend the everything bagel with their veggie cream cheese spread.
