“This was possibly the best Mexican food I’ve had. The salsa was my ideal flavor (I don’t like cilantro). The queso was flavorful despite being completely smooth. They had a spin on my go to order of a Fajita burrito. They offered a fajita chimichanga instead! It was cooked really well and not overly greasy. It also didn’t have that extra tortilla feeling at the ends. I got the grilled chicken and it was excellent.”

“This travel center is useful for truckers nd travelers alike. Fuel, food nd a bit of fun. Only thing is the Thunder Road Grill needs to rethink calling the "home fries" they serve as such bc what they serve is ACTUALLY chopped up french fries, not Home Fries, which are not fried nd come with peppers nd onions. They may have to go to the South n Southeast part of USA to gain that knowledge.”

“Smoky delicious barbecue. Try the specials and catch a game in the lounge or enjoy the great service in the dinner. Beer cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms are a must on the prime rib or brisket sandwich. Send the hot fries down with their brown gravy. Yum!”

“Looking for healthier dining options in Ogallala Ne? Try 308 Lounge. My dinner companion had Chicken Tiki Masala served with rice and naan bread. Add the rice to the light, slightly spicy/rich sauce with chicken, and scoop it up in pieces of soft naan. I had the 308 Signature sandwich brought on a buttery-toasted bread filled with grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. It dripped tomato and chicken juice until I surrendered & used a fork. The steak fries were lightly crisp outside, soft inside, and did not have a heavy oil-fried taste. More casual dining than lounge with well-positioned TV's to watch sports and cute pets. Full bar, pool table, small game room. Excellent service. Separate entrance but also shares a connection into the Quality Inn hotel.”

“We finally have an ice rink here in North Platte! For the first year of this being here it was great. For sure a few things to work out but I loved it and cannot wait for next year, and to see where this idea goes in the future!”

“I ordered the enchalada combo. The beans and rice were YummY, but the enchiladas were extremely spicy. Obviously, it's not authentic Mexican food. The people inside the drive-thru restaurant were very friendly and fluent in Spanish, but they have obviously American Americanized their main dishes. I originally asked if they had chicken al pastor, and I was told no.”

“SOOOO EXCITED to find this gem! Great service! Wonderful atmosphere! We have zero good restaurants in Grand Island, in my humble opinion! Other than the obvious chains! We will be back there probably once a week! Reminds me of Western Nebraska hospitality!”

“Absolutely delicious. I want to move in and eat everything! It was our first time, I tried the Tonkatsu (my standard favorite) and it blew me out of the water. The broth was rich and delicious, noodles cooked to perfection, and the pork belly was crispy and tender. We tried the Tokyo Fried Chicken as well… oh my god, the sauce and the crispiness were perfection. The atmosphere is very chill, One Piece in the background was nice touch. I’ll definitely be back, can’t wait try more!”

“Pho was up there with some of the best I've had. Broth was rich but not super salty, very fragrant. I got the thin sliced "steak" (menu item P1), and it was super tender. Didn't love the egg roll. A bit greasy, and the filling was pretty mushy, almost like it was undercooked. Not saying it was, just unappealing texture. Spring rolls were nice and fresh. No pork, just shrimp, noodles, and mint. Dipping sauce was the standard peanut style and it was fine...it's always too sweet for me so I really don't eat it anyway. Daughter's mango smoothie was a hit. I would be surprised if they used fresh mango but it tasted like it. Two young men served us and they were actually pretty great. It was moderately busy but they were on top of things, and very polite. Pho and Grill didn't quite knock our favorite pho place out of the number 1 slot, but it got close!”

“Give it up to UNK to somehow find a way to absolutely hide this absolute gem of a diner. This is open towards faculty, students, and the likes and caters to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's located inside of the University Residence South building and has a nice floorplan to accommodate a ton of students. It's right next to Discovery Hall, which is UNK's brand new STEM building which makes it even more ridiculous that UNK found it justful to potentially have this diner shut down instead of expanding on it so that their students have to walk or wheelchair across campus to the student union which is well over 10 minutes away just to get there at a speed walk. The diner is quiet and it's relaxing. The staff are extremely kind, and the food is tasty and ready. It will be truly one of the biggest losses i'm and others will be upset about on campus as it will really ruin a lot of student life for so many.”

“Update from the last time I was here and they remodeled and it is clean, the staff is friendly and they keep the place is clean. I do apologize for the messy eaters who could me here, but thank you for keeping the place clean, it does not go unproved! The Food is good and I’m happy that they decided to do this remodel and get the staff happy to work here. Good job!! Now the bathrooms need remodeling, hopefully they do that soon. Besides that Keep up the good work, smile and be friendly. This place is dirty, it’s out of date and just terrible service, they don’t care that they have a job, management is terrible, sitting on there butts and not doing anything. KFC has amazing food but I don’t like the people working here. I saw a guy wear his jack in the back of the kitchen doing the potato wedges??? I don’t know what’s going on here. Foods good, but it’s dirty and just out of date....just filthy. Hopefully the food isn’t that way.”

“Good place to stop for quick snacks. Lots of variety for toys and souvineres. Their quick food like pizza and hotdogs is often empty leaving the restaurant or subway as the only options. Bathroom stalls and urinals are dirty and need to be cleaned more then they are. Parking for semis is good during the day, hard to get after 5pm. Staff is friendly and get you through the cash quickly.”

“We’ve gone to this place a couple of times. The food is not bad, but not stupendous. This last time we got there 4:50pm on friday. They said they don’t open until five, as fire up the grill. They take our order. We get salad bar. 40 minutes later we finally get our t-bone. The steak was more than medium well and it was seasoned with rosemary. This is the second time the meat was a little twangy, because of the spices. The ambiance was good, the food was proportionate to the price. The twang and the wait isn’t my cup of tea. I could have butchered the cow and grilled it myself in 40 minutes. If you like the rustic, taxidermied animal decor; this place is a site. The burgers and non-prime meats are great.”

“It was a bit of a let down after getting off of the highway quite a bit. The place was not as well maintained as I've come to expect. The service was good but also the food was carelessly assembled. The potato oles were stale. I don't expect to drive this route anytime soon but if I were, I'd like pass by on this TJ.”
