“Great food, and an awesome place to play some games - pool, shuffle board and foosball! The owner is also very kind! They are open late which is great! Highly recommend you stop by here when out in Denio and Fields!”

“Friendly Staff. Especially during these uncertain times of covid19. Bathroom was so clean that I looked up their # to call and thank them. Understandably, the retail store is not open 24/7. Location doesn't have the demand for 24/7 in person assistance.”

“What an amazing experience, would give 10 stars if I could. Such a cool spot. Stopped in for breakfast and the omelette was amazing. Great coffee too (and they don't even charge for coffee!). The people running the place were so so friendly. Truly a cool experience. Well worth a stop even if you just want to poke around.”

“This place is a hidden Gem with the best burger i have had across the US... The people are so kind and welcoming, very clean, the grill is open 24/7 and the food is SO FRESH.... they always have a lot of truck parking and its quite. There prices are super reasonable. 1) patty melt the way it comes just added mushrooms. 2) jalapeños cheese bites 3) Super fresh and clean veggie burger.”

“It was a pretty good place. I was staying at the hotel next door and there wasn't a lot else to eat but they had wings and the wings were pretty good. I also had tenders and I would absolutely recommend the wings. Also they have some good selections for beer and plenty of TVs to watch the game. Also a little casino in the corner.”

“We happened on this place looking for some good Mexican food. It was great! We split the seafood Ceveche, complete with octopus! We also ordered sides of beans and extra corn tortillas. Let me just say everything was fantastic! The homemade corn tortillas were thick and wonderful, the ceveche was flavorful and filling, and the service was good. Our plate was a bit more expensive because it was seafood. The decor wasn't fancy, but based on how many of the locals were eating we could tell it is a favorite...and we understand why. The menuedo looked great too, and the next time we eat here I will be getting it!”

“This place is fantastic, and my wife has been 3 times on her work trips. Strongly suggested my stubborn self to try. I have a solid background in Korean cuisine. And wow! You walk into a perfect blend of traditional diner and Korean comfort foods !(menu offers simple items for kids) The owners really value quality and service! The marinade and prep on the meats are perfect; rice is authentic. The soup broths are homey. Also, thanks for teaching me a new bottle trick. Don't pass this place up! gamsahada!”

“I'm from Bakersfield and love Basque food, but live in Phoenix where there is none. We jumped on the chance to eat here when passing through town. Great food and a lot of it as you would expect. Great service too. Hits included the chicken noodle soup, beans, salad, hominy with chorizo, corn, mashed potatoes, fries, and seafood pasta. Misses include the lamb shank (too salty as others have mentioned - I'd get the chops next time) and bread pudding.”

“Wow! It was delicious! I got the enchildas with shrimp and scallops. It was good! The fried plantains were also very good! I got a hibiscus margarita which was delicious and strong! Very good experience.”

“Aug 14 2022 Ignore reviews more than 6 months old. New owners, new management, new chef. I ordered the $8.99 steak and egg special. It was great. I recommend it. Last trip was an Asian chicken salad. It was also great. Very satisfied with menu quality, variety, and prices. Not at all crowded on a Sunday morning”

“Go for the prime rib and clam chowder. Fabulous! Upscale interior, I went in jeans and a baseball hat, but you could easily dress up and be comfortable. The staff is super friendly and personable, definitely a great place to visit.”

“We enjoyed trying the salad with beans on top! Something different. Baked potato was good. Salad was average and found a sticker on one of the tomatoes. The staff is working hard so probably just in a rush.”

“My long drive through 80-E led to a mirage along the road. The bright sun beated down on a big Antojitos Dona Chona sign. I just couldn't leave Winnemucca without seeing what they have to offer. Un vaso de fruta y un esquite fue suficiente. A complementary banana split sealed the deal. Delicioso.”

“Pretty good restaurant. I'm surprised to see a vegetarian section in the menu that even referenced vegan in a small town like that. I had a vegetarian burrito. It could have had more rice and shouldn't have had broccoli in my opinion, but it was very good.”

“Just wanted to give gratitude to the 7:45 pm shift at the Winnemucka Maverick (605 W Haskell St, Winnemucca, NV 89445). I needed half and half for my coffee. The machine was empty and I asked the gentleman behind the kitchen counter if they had more half and half. He responded and immediately refilled the half and half. In addition, he communicated well, was quick, and respectful. I don’t have these type of experiences enough when requesting help at gas stations and other types of businesses. I wish I had his name. In addition, the cashier born in 1977 😅was delightful. We are traveling to Oregon from Utah. I will definitely be stopping by this Maverick again due to the excellent customer service. “I have to agree with all the other 5 star ratings. The place is super clean, in fact they wet clean tables instead of the usual "wipe the crumbs on the floor". They were even cleaning the windows while I was there. The place is spotless. The staff are a 6 out of 5 and are super attentive and friendly. The food is actually very good as are the drinks. I would recommend visiting and I will certainly be returning as well. I was very impressed!”

“Traveling back home from California to Washington, we stopped at the Griddle. Walking in, my fiance and I were already enticed by the atmosphere. The place was busy but functionally so, with almost all members of the staff walking around with a smile. The decor of stained glass pieces and hanging plants made for a very homey and comforting vibe. Vanessa was our server and she was incredibly attentive and helpful. They were out of milk substitutions, so when I ordered my coffee and wanted oat milk, she had recommended a place across the street that serves coffee to grab something on our way out. With nine more hours to go of driving I was incredibly grateful. It was incredibly difficult to choose as all the menu items looked delicious and seeing the different plates sent out made it even harder. We ordered the savory crepe and the carribbean french toast and we were not disappointed. 10/10 would recommend this place for a delicious breakfast!”

“We sampled things from both sides of the menu. My sushi was delicious and the refried beans were awesome. Staff were friendly and the service pretty fast. No masks or distancing happening. I did find a hair in my taco.”

“It's good about 90% of the time. In shop is clean and orderly. Other times the food is cold and given minimal effort(never order their pasta)and the delivery driver is always the same kid blaring rap and definitely has subwoofers that make all the dogs in the neighborhood go nuts. Thus I have switched to pick-up. Overall I give them a 6.5/10 only because of the polite in shop employees and fast timing.”

“I have eaten here several times, on my way through Winnemucca. I love the waffles, the hashbrowns, and the bacon that I usually have for breakfast. They taste really good. I've also had the biscuits and gravy, and those are delicious. The service is great, and I've always had attentive waiters. I've only eaten lunch here once, and I had The Club sandwich. It was delicious and the fries are good. I've never eaten dinner here, because by the time I check into the hotel, I'm tired, and I don't bother eating dinner. I always eat breakfast here in the mornings, before I leave.”

“I saw a lot of bad reviews, but I have to say, I had no issues. I went in around 6 pm on a Tuesday, the place was empty. I ordered a large double pepperoni w/stuffed crust. By 6:25 I was back at my hotel room eating a nice hot yummy piece of pie. So, give the place a try.”

“By far the most amazing burger I can ever recall eating. Good price and great fries. Seriously if u want good food go here. I recently found out about them and am hooked, won't even bother with anywhere else.”

“The food was good, they are still on a take out only service though. So you need to call in an order and then when you go to get it you pay and leave. The building looks great and I wish I could have just eaten there however I understand any reason they might have for not wanting to offer dine-in.”
