Taste of Chicago

Address: 180 E 1st St, Reno, NV 89501, USA

Restaurant

“The food was amazing! We walked in and were seated right away. The reason I am only giving a 4 is more about me than them. I didn’t know a deep dish takes a little over an hour. When it finally came it was so good. The crust was soft, sauce was great. Obviously the sausage, pepperoni and salami were good. The highlight for me was the mozzarella cheese. So much of it. One slice and I was looking to tap out I was getting so full. We got the medium with 8 slices. The appetizer was great so we had something to eat while waiting.”

“Terrific hand made tortillas, along with a spicy Chile relleno were perfect for lunch. Carnitas tender and flavorful. We will be back! Cane back for supper and confirmed this as a new favorite. My husband had the three enchiladas and reports "Wonderful! Yummy! Fantastic! " with freshly made guacamole with high quality ingredients. The carne asada was flavorful and they happily substituted the breaded shrimp for lightly and perfectly grilled shrimp.”

Full Belly Deli-Midtown

Address: 517 Forest St, Reno, NV 89509, USA

Restaurant

“I ordered the Sicilian sandwich on Dutch crunch bread and tomato basil soup. The soup was one of the best tomato soups I have ever had. Delicious! The sandwich on the other hand not so much, the bread tasted old and dry. The condiment was only put on lightly in the middle of the sandwich , none on each side of bread which made it an even drier experience. The salami was disappointing, it was more of an bland version, with no spice or flavor. The sandwich left me flat. I will go back and try a salad ,to give them a second chance. My friend had the breakfast burrito with sausage, which was very tasty, their portions are generous.”

Brauhaus 701

Address: 713 S Virginia St, Reno, NV 89501, USA

Restaurant

“A really great downtown spot to stop at. The food menu is definitely midtown prices, but it's delicious none the less. Been through a couple times on date night with the SO, we're always happy to grab dinner and a beer or two here any chance we can. The imported beer rotations are completely worth trying, although you might be disappointed when your favorite gets rotated out. The staff is courteous and really quick to get your order in and served, or offer a suggestion if you're just on the fence for what beer to grab.”

“”oh wow!"... ” that's amazing”.... And ” oh my gosh, you Have to try this” ... were comments at the comments at table. This place is warm, eclectic, and beautiful. The food was off the chain amazing. Everyone loved their meals. From the margarita pizza, the chicken and waffles, the street tacos, and the buttermilk fried chicken. Prices are not bad. Seriously good quality food. Definitely worth the stop.”

food + drink

“This place is awesome! The concept is that they have a small menu of things that they try to do really well. As far as things to perfect go, pizza and tacos are definitely great choices. I had the 9-hour pork tacos and a frozen margarita. Both were really dope. Their homemade ginger elixir is a great palate cleanser as well. Can't wait to come back for brunch and try brunch!”

I explained that I was vegetarian and they suggested something off-menu (Snow Pea Tips in garlic) and explained that it was a little more expensive than other items. It was very good. Tokyo Sushi

Address: 1999 S Virginia St, Reno, NV 89502, USA

Restaurant

“So - the one SUPER cool thing: kids have an all you can eat meal option (it was under $10, i just don't remember how much and don't want to quote it here to avoid the wrath of the internet + other users). So our 3 year old ate merrily alongside us pretty cheaply which was pretty cool. The downfall? They are busy. We made a reservation, our party was on time, and we still waited like 20 minutes to be sat - annoying. Also annoying? We had to ask 3 times for our order of Quail Egg Shooters - they finally came AFTER dessert. Food is good, but the rolls do reflect smaller portion sizes. I wouldn't not eat here again, but the likelihood I will return (due to order issues, busy in general) is pretty slim. Worth checking out - not sure it's worth the wait though.”

Thai Chili

Address: 1030 S Virginia St, Reno, NV 89502, USA

Restaurant

“By far my favorite Thai place in Reno. Location and parking can’t be beat. Service, prices, and quality of food are also very good. Very reasonable prices for the scale of restaurant and amount of food you get. The presentation is always fantastic with some sort of nice vegetable embellishment. The service is always very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is clean and well presented. Great pad Thai, great appetizers, and the mango sticky rice is killer. They also have amazing ginger tea. This is my regular Thai place and I recommend it a thousand times over.”
