So glad we tried this restaurant! We sat at the bar. Bartenders were very busy but, took care of everyone! I had the swordfish and I have to say it was the best I've ever had. Cooked and seasoned perfectly! Will be back for sure!
The Breeze came out beautifully! What a wonderful additional to the Lakes Region. I mean look at the view of the lake. They have an extensive wine list, warm atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. The food is delicious. To top to all off they have a variety of homemade desserts made in house! I would highly recommend the Breeze.
Great atmosphere, drinks were amazing and food was exceptional. The mahi mahi was perfectly blackened (hard to find in the lakes region). And let’s talk about the burger special…grilled to perfection and with a side of cajun aioli!
We’ve been anxiously awaiting checking out the new restaurant opening where The Lyon’s Den was at Gilford Town Docks. Soft opening was last week and tonight we had dinner there for the first time.
First of all, the renovations they’ve done were fantastic. The fireplace make-over is gorgeous but most notably the huge bar now faces the lake with all the views. I love the modern farmhouse decor and rustic chic is what comes to mind. Anyway, it’s very comfortable, casual and elegant at the same time. Ok, back to the food. The menu is classic American in all the best ways and with all your favorites. We started with onion soup and it was excellent. There were appetizer specials, and we tried the skewered grilled shrimp and veggies. There was a chili wasabi glaze that was just right. The Haddock was excellent and came with hand cut fries and an apple slaw -so good. Cocktails were generous and perfect. Dessert offered a chocolate mousse cake, key lime pie and we choose to split the lemon curd tart which was the perfect end to a lovely Spring Day. Overall I’d give 5 stars with the suggestion to add a few more vegetarian items. Interestingly there’s a very short customer service survey enclosed with your bill asking for feedback, so I did share that. Overall, I know we’ll be back as regulars throughout the year. Wishing the new owner, and staff every success.
