Margaret’s Kitchen

Margaret's Kitchen is a great addition to the Lakes Region breakfast lineup! The ingredients are locally sourced and the unique menu is a breath of fresh air for the area. Coffee comes from Wayfarer so it's strong and fresh. Definitely will be back for another visit.

Food was good. Not great. But a unique menu for sure. Service not so good. Lots of servers...very little urgency. Kitchen worked way faster and did an amazing job. Servers getting food out to you is a different story.

I read the reviews before we went. There was a few 1 star reviews that had me questioning it. But there were many 5 star reviews so we gave it a try. The coffee was a little strong but that's what I love. The sausage was huge and fantastic. The eggs were buttery and country style not typical breakfast grill eggs. Which again were amazing. The homestyle potatoes were very good. A couple were not cooked through but when you serve that big of chunks that will happen. The toast was definitely home made and was great. Our waitress Egan was smiling, helpful and friendly. If you like plain Jane breakfast food then maybe it's not the best for you . If you want great food then this is it. We will be back

I'm giving it a four because the food was great but there are still some kinks. The waitress told us they were out of a dish and when we ate our substitute, we watched her eat the very dish they were "out of". Apparently they weren't out of it and she got to enjoy it.. in front of us. Another waitress walked by and we asked a question about the menu and she looked irritated that we had a question.

There was a great employee there who told us all about the food and helped redeem the experience. She was very passionate about the place.

The chef came by and that was nice. The food was really good (but the waitress eating what they wouldn't give us was disappointing). We would come again and hope the service is better, but we really loved their fried chicken and we also loved the hash.

Love everything about MK. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a friendly smile and had the option to sit anywhere we would like. You can sit at a regular table, high top or the bar. Service was quick and the food is fresh! They incorporate organic and other local businesses into their menu. The atmosphere is clean, fun, and fresh. Definitely will be going here more often.
