Large menu. Salmon selection was good, but not great! Friend had bison meatloaf that was ok, but not great! Not much choice in Lyme

Truly a "tavern" experience—the beautiful outdoor path to the entrance leads you to an equally-beautiful log-cabin-like interior. My only complaint is that every dish I've tried there has some element that makes it fall just short of being great. For example, I got the bacon-wrapped meatloaf for the second time last night, and for the second time was underwhelmed by the mashed potatoes, which I found to be flavorless. The asparagus was just all right, if a little charred, but the meatloaf and bacon were both excellent. However, the beautiful dining location, friendly service, and overall experience almost always overshaddows my dissatisfaction with the food.

Absolutely blow away by the meal here. I've spent the past couple of years having great meals in NYC, Boston, Portland and elsewhere and this was one of the best meals I've had in some time. The house-made pickle plate was a revelation. The cheese plate was amazing. The chicken pot pie and dessert that followed really sealed the deal. Doubtful I'll ever be back in this area, but if I am I'll be sure to stop in again!

Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat! Great gluten free options, excellent cocktails and beer selection. Highly recommend.

Been going to the tavern since they opened. Always been great food and very consistent. I’ve also been pleased with how reasonably priced the menu items are for the upper valley area.....until now. The prices have increased dramatically. Most entrees are $20+ and everything else is quite expensive. My wife and I use to be able to have dinner and a drink for around $50+tip. Now it’s more like $70+tip. Pretty big increase in one shot.
