If you’re in the area, make sure to check The Beal House out! It’s hard to find a place like this in this area and is perfect for a intimate date night or cozy family dinner. “Tucked away beneath the historic Thayer Hotel, this is a gem worthy of acclaim. In the area for business for only one evening and my expectations for dining choices for a small, rural town were low. Obviously the low expectations on my part show a bias based on my experience with many small, rural towns but in this case I was thrilled to be proven wrong. The atmosphere, menu, food presentation and taste, beverage and service were as good with what you would find on the coast or in larger metro area. I highly recommend The Salt Cicchetti and Martini Bar. Don't miss it. Enjoy!”

“We spent about 4 nights here and absolutely loved it it was amazingly beautiful. The gardening grounds were absolutely lush and beautiful. The swimming lake was crystal clear fish everywhere kayaking was so much fun. Our kids love hiking up the Creek spotting freshwater rock falls, freshwater animals and flying animals and all the foliage.We couldn't have asked for a better way to disconnect. The food was very good wonderful flavors fresh and inviting. I wanted to bottle the Italian dressing and take it home with me. the dining hall reminded me of my summers at camp. The pianos throughout the camp made my daughter very happy she played often it helped her abit over her fear of playing in front of people. I only have 2 critiques. I do wish there had been maybe more bonfire access here and there I'm sure if we requested it we could have but we didn't. And some of the mattresses definitely need to be replaced but other than that everything was wonderful.”

“I think I've been there 4 times so far. My experience has never changed: slow, but very good pizza. Don't expect full service at this restaurant. Most likely, you'll order from the counter, and they will bring the food to your table when it's ready. Many times, we just grabbed some items ourselves from a different counter, such as condiments. Drinks are mostly fountain (self-serve). The place feels very casual. It can take a while, depending on the crowd. But the pizzas we ordered have always been consistently good: crispy crust, generous toppings, brought to you piping hot, sauce is not over-seasoned and we thought even the fries were good (crispy, not too oily). That's really all we want from a pizzeria, and we haven't been disappointed by the food once.”

“This place was awesome from the moment we walked through the door. The ambiance is nice and the chefs table allows you to enjoy all the action happening in the kitchen. 4 adults and 2 children in our party and we all left full and extremely happy! We all tried each others apps, entrees, and desserts and to our surprise we all throughly enjoyed the flavors of each dish. The staff was very nice and interacted with my children in the best way. “My first impression was not great, as the girl working the counter looked at me like a deer in the head lights RIGHT as soon as I walked through the door, then I didn't hear from anyone for 5 to 10 minutes .. That being the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5.. Past that, my experience was fantastic. Jake was great when working the counter, very punctual and friendly along with all the guys out back. The pizza was amazing and the beer was cold. Not much else to ask from a Pizza Joint in my opinion! Also, I like how it looks inside as well for a small place like that”
