Always excellent food and drinks that make me feel good after. Organic wines with none of the sulfates that make your body feel lousy. High quality steak in the steak and eggs. Local greens in the salads. Artistic presentation of each dish. An ever changing menu of fresh and fun options. Great location downtown with a view of the memorial bridge, and easy parking. Inside or outside, and amazingly this place is almost never crowded. I think people perceive it is expensive because of the decor and high class ambiance and go to a greasy spoon instead, but honestly it's not that much more than the alternatives, and you get the highest quality for a great price. And the service is exceptional -- never lacking. Clean tables, brightly illuminated inside, this is a great place for a bite or drink any time they are open. If Nimi is around, she can help you explore a new organic wine to suit your tastes. If you are on the fence, go here.
We had such a great experience! The owner was very knowledgeable about wine; each one paired perfectly with a dish. I loved the hen egg and tartare. Prices were very reasonable for the level of food, drink, and atmosphere.
Downright phenomenal food to where my family was overwhelmed with the flavors, leaving full and refreshed after a incredible meal. Cocktails were also wonderful, and i cant wait to bring my friends to try their brunch menu! Half chicken, ramp pasta, and dark chocolate cake were my top 3 by far, you gotta one of the three if you visit this fine eatery hands down.
Great atmosphere, wine and food. A perfect place to stop, for drinks snacks and meals. Fantastically friendly staff. We’ve been coming to Portsmouth for several years and this is our new favorite place.
I’ve moved to this area pretty recently and so I have been trying a lot of my local restaurants, that being said Raleigh did not fall short. I went for brunch on Sunday and really enjoyed this place. Had the Benny breakfast and it was amazing. My friend also liked his food, the potatoes were just mouth watering. I also had the bottomless mimosas which were wonderful, I wish I would have received another glass but that was my fault for not asking.
Try this place out!
