“In general it's just another McDonald's. It is clean. What set apart was the very nice man that was taking care of the dining area on both Saturday and Sunday morning. I was camping with my daughter and it's a convenient alternative to cooking on a camp stove at 8am. I wish I had gotten his name, he was very upbeat and helpful bringing napkins to various tables. Wished everyone a good morning, as well as enjoy your breakfast. Overall just a very nice man. It turned a fast food breakfast stop into a enjoyable meal and gave me a little jolt of positive attitude to carry through the day. Kudos to you sir.”

“Tuckaway Tavern was a decent experience. The wait was over an hour and half long for six. The place was clean and nicely decorated. The food was a hit or miss but at least everything was fresh. We ordered the pig pile for an app which was very tasty. More than half of our meals were not worth the wait! The ribs were delicious however the sides were quite bland. The burger we ordered was burnt and very dry. My three kids each ordered a meal and didn’t like any of them. I will likely not return.”

That said, the drivethru lines are generally short, and orders get filled quickly. There have only been a few mistakes made while training new people, and orders are usually double-checked while passing them to you. We presume they worked at Rockingham Race Track, or owned it. This location has had many different restaurants, or eateries there over many years, and this isn't the best. Maybe next time it changes to something new, it will be better. This place was shockingly busy, but we were surprised given the poor quality, and the service staff was predictably annoying, and still expected a good tip for poor service and delays. Significant delays with both service and meals being served. It is likely that we won't return.”

“It’s sad that a mechanized fast food place like this feels the need to move into a small town. The Americano is bland, and at 12 oz it’s way too big. Staff member got mad and refused to make eye contact after I decided to upgrade the coffee order from plain to espresso. They called out my order and the guy in front of me ran off with it in addition to his own (because it was identical to his, and because this is the sort of things that happens when there’s no need to identify yourself when you order). So, the food of course is predictable. They remade my order quickly. If you have cash or a credit card and time (and don’t need to use a phone to pay) try the little deli in the harbor. The last time I went to a DD, it was in Amarillo, TX, in the shadow of the elevated portion of Interstate 40. The location fit perfectly. Here in Sunapee, it’s a sad sight.”
