“So glad we gave this place a try after the sleek and loud world of the casinos. Nestled along the waters edge, Gilchrist is a comfy, down-home restaurant with a maritime atmosphere. It had excellent service, very good breakfasts and the best coffee I ever had. I even drank it black! Happy that they served grits as a side option too. Omelets were nicely filled with cheese, etc. Blueberry pancakes were really good! Prices were average, regular size portions. I can’t wait to go back for the coffee again!”

You can wait zero to five minutes on one day and forty to sixty minutes on another day. It all depends on the day. They do allow call-in reservations, but tend to not answer their calls. The seating is at my comfort standards. The space in their open concept layout gives each and every customer enough room to feel relaxed. The staff treat you like family. If you are a regular, they ask you if you want your usual. The owner Wendy will make sure that each and every customer will get a warm welcome and make sure you are always satisfied. At times, the cleanliness can be a tad dirty. Once in a while, I see some wrappers and food on the floor. I usually request a cup of soup and a turkey sandwich. I can’t ask for anything better. For prices, I would give it a $$, but the prices are totally worth it with its amount and quality.”

“Maynard's is the greatest dive bar in the history of dive bars, in the sense that its kind of too nice to be a dive bar. This place is, bang for your buck, probably the single best place in Margate, or at the very least, on the west/south side of Jerome Ave. A great place to kick back, have a few beers, and get some grub. Also a great place to get away from the snooty folk. Not to say people with big money don't go there - wealthy people definitely do go there, just not the rude and judgmental ones. If you're looking to have a drink after spending a few hours at the beach WITHOUT killing your wallet, THIS is your place.”

“I come here so often exclusively because the app makes it so damn easy. I build exactly the order I want, park outside, and a kind gentleman/lady brings me exactly what I ordered ~5 minutes later. It's nice being able to compare the prices of, say, a double cheeseburger vs a regular cheeseburger with an extra patty as a "condiment", and dumb stuff like that, too - and to see everything that's available to get it just right. No pickles, extra onions, extra sauce, extra patty? Please take my money”

“Went to this Wawa as I needed gas from shopping at ShopRite across the street. After entering the store it is traditional set up. And this one is also open 24 hours. Has a lot of gas pumps so there's no wait. The staff inside wasn't very friendly, the employees gave me a hard time when using a manufacturing coupon. But it was very clean well kept, and plenty of parking spaces since there is a lot of traffic in and out of this Wawa. Good for food quick on-the-go or any odds-and-ends you may need.”
