“I Love the soups! Just have a problem with the prices going up and the cups seemed to have gotten smaller...cream of chicken is now going up to $7.50...not at all wise. I will not purchase at this price. Potatoes and chicken are not that expensive. I also noticed lately my cups have not had a lot of chicken in them. “I only exclusively order vanilla chai's from here. There's a real poverty problem both inside and outside the store. This isn't really a sit down and enjoy your coffee type of place. The inside is usually uncleanly, but the staff is pretty nice and non confrontational. It could be 4 stars, but the donuts/munchkins are usually either stale, or sloppily made. Sometimes they won't even have specific donuts in stock.”

“New Taco Spot in Newark with amazing weekly specials. On Mondays you can get $5 sandwiches, Tuesday’s for taco Tuesday you can get 5 tacos for $5 dollars, Wednesday’s they have $5 quesadillas and Thursday’s $5 burrito. Definitely a sweet spot for lunch but make sure to order online because the place is pretty small and gets packed. Plus they only have like 4 seats!”

“Convenient location at Raymond & Broad in Newark--I pass by this place when I walk from Newark Penn Station to the Golden Dome at Rutgers-Newark. Ordered the BOGO Crispy Chicken sandwiches, its 2 for under 7 bucks. Received my order in less than ten minutes. Got a bad vibe about the place because some father was here waiting for his order and his son had to use the bathroom and the on-site manager said the bathroom was locked and he could do nothing. This was around 7pm Saturday evening.”

“With regards to halal restaurants in Newark, there aren't a lot to choose from. I was in town and needed a bite to eat and Grandma's Kitchen was appealing primarily because it looked clean. I chose a basis beef kebab wrap and was pleasantly surprised by the tender beef, fresh bread and friendly service. To top it off, there was fresh, quality coffee available which was a nice treat. Overall, it was a positive eating experience in a part of town that desperately needs some upgrading. The next step is to open a decent halal market in the neighbourhood. One struggles at the moment to find a piece of fruit, let alone some meat or veg.”

“The minute i walked in here i felt great. I was Greeted with a big smile by the cashier & a warm welcome. The cook waived at me and said hello! I ordered 2 double burgers a cheese dog , fries and a drink! It was super affordable! Even though there were lots of people eating there my food was prepared very quickly! I was impressed. Now the food was super simple and delicious just what i was expecting! There is plenty of parking space around the store! The place is clean and smells delicious! I can’t wait to go back!
