“I took the train with my son there on a Saturday morning. It's right across the street from the Hoboken terminal. The restaurant was very clean. The workers were constantly wiping surfaces down. The workers were all very friendly. Service is great. My son is 4 years old. When he gets hungry, he's hungry! They weren't opened, yet. But, the pizza maker made a pie for us to eat. Now, you can tell he's been making pizza for a long time. I haven't had a slice like that in years! The crust was not too hard. Not too much oil. The ingredients were fresh. My son is a picky eater. But, he really liked that pizza! Next time we take the train to Hoboken, we'll be back!”

“We've been eating from Grimaldi's for years and it never disappoints! The pizza is freshly made in front of your eyes (which my kids really enjoyed watching!) and is simply delicious! Incredibly inventive toppings, I don't want to spoil it for you by telling you some of the meats and vegetables you'll never find in any other pizzeria. It was night, and some of the slices looked a little tired. So I respectfully asked my server to please put mine in the oven for an extra long time, to make sure the cheese melted and it got hot all the way through. It would have been even tastier. But like many other people commenting here, they just didn't leave it in the oven long enough. I wouldn't have minded waiting. I shall return, but I'll be more vigilant next time. My wife thought it was too salty. I disagree.”

“Love it! We have been coming here for 10 years whenever I'm in the neighborhood. There was a problem with the open fire grill on our last visit so I "settled" for a cold turkey sandwich which was great as well. Any place that offers to put some nice grated pecorino romano cheese in your chicken orzo soup has to be special. Come, sit at the bar and watch your meal being prepared. I'm sure you'll come away a fan!”

“Lunch specials are awesome. 2 plain slices and a drink for $5.50 or 2 specialty slices and a drink for $7.50. The slices are a good size that will leave you satisfied / full. Just ask them to leave the slices in the oven a little extra if you like it crispy as it typically will be served hot but not crunchy unless you state otherwise. The owner seems to take pride in what he cooks. He caught me taking a picture of the rice balls :) and he spoke about it in a way that showed he enjoys cooking and making things customers would like. There are enough tables / seats here for a quick casual eating. Side note: I have visited Benny Tudinos in the past for their huge slices which I like for their crunchy dough when heated up right, but I am not a fan of the server also being the cashier handling your pizza with his bare hands. That's why I am glad there is Pizza Republic which so far seems to be a more hygienic alternative. I'll keep on coming back as long as the lunch specials exist AND bare hands do not touch my pizza. The staff appear to be friendly unlike other pizza places that just rush you in and out...a huge plus.”

“East LA has delicious margaritas and a wide selection of flavors. They’re perfectly strong, but still enjoyable. I had the guacamole and wings which are good, and though I can’t comment too much on the food, I will say that the service was amazing, especially for Hoboken where bouncers and bartenders have a reputation for not being too nice. I came on March 1st and all staff here were great from the bouncer to the hostess and the bartenders. They all made the night that much better. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you!”
