I don't know if he just doesn't speak English or whatever but every time he pretends to understand what I say on the phone and still proceeds to leave my food at the same wrong location... “Fresh, delicious and cheap - burgers are good quality and always cooked well. However taking their rating down to 4 stars because their shake of the month is almost NEVER available! Even when I add it to my order, on multiple occasions my food has been delivered without it. To be fair, they have generously given me a gift card to make up for the experience, but I do hope this can be improved. I really love the shakes and my favourite by far was the white coco raspberry - it's what got me hooked on D&D in the first place. Please fix the shake issue 😥”

“I did take out and had the Italian here. The biggest disappointment is the bread which is one of the key ingredients for me. It was hard and not enjoyable. The ingredients did not make up for it either. Also, the online ordering menu seemed like a mess and didn’t make sense to me until I pulled up photos of the actual menu. I really love sub shops and hoped this would be a great addition to Jersey City and hopefully in time it can be. I may try another sandwich next time.”

“I really, really want to love Gia Gelato Cafe -- I loved, loved, loved the place under the previous owners and was a regular here. for months now I have been trying to become a regular again. But now, while the staff is friendly and I like them and I really do want to love the place, the food is never really cooked properly and the service is slow. After many repeated tries, I think I may have to admit to myself this is no longer the place for me. They NEVER toast the toast -- only slightly warm and dry our some pieces of bread and they most often don't provide butter for the toast (though if you ask for it they will bring some. They often don't cook bacon well enough either. I just recently had the breakfast quesadilla and it was cold. I don't mean it just wasn't hot and only a little warm. I mean it was cold. So cold the shredded cheese didn't melt at all and some of the bacon was actually 100% raw. It's like the cook/chef is afraid to actually cook things. Also depending on who is there the service is slow. The staff is SUPER nice, but hardly speedy and some seem not quite on-the-ball. I am very sad to say this is not nearly the place it used to be a few years ago. Such a shame -- but basic cooking skills and speed of service are key to whether a place is good or not -- and this place struggles in both areas.”

“I’ve tasted pizza from almost all places in Newport JC and Sage Eats is highly recommended. The pizza is always fresh and not greasy. The combination of ingredients is great so you get a nice flavorful-taste with each bite. The only drawback is they only have medium sized pizzas. Hope that changes in the future. but overall well worth the price!”

I like how fresh a lot of their baked goods are, the variety and the inclusion of a hot food counter (not part of the bakery section, but looks good too). I see a lot of people in the Filipino community stock up on the baked goods here, so it MUST be good. It is a good place to stop by, Filipino and non-Filipino alike.”

“A surprising little gem of an Indian restaurant, which also offers some American staples like burgers and wings. The food is very reasonably priced, yet the quality is amazing - it tastes fresh, healthy and home-made (best fish pacoras I've tried). None of the greasiness, heaviness and over-saltiness that plagues many other Desi places in Journal Square. We haven't tried the American part of the menu yet, but will be ordering Indian food again.”
