Everything is made from scratch, the pasta was cooked perfectly, the 36 hour smoked pork was from another planet ( I've never had something so tender ) and no salt! That's right - the flavors blend so perfectly, no salt necessary. Truly a hidden gem - will visit again next time I am in Jersey!”

“Having not been in a few years, we wandered in to check out the bar area. The sangria was very good, with three different types of wine as options. But the service left a lot to be desired. Once we were seated, we were pretty much ignored. Whenever we wanted something, we had to flag down the server, who did not seem pleased. And when we ordered small plates, one of them was incorrect. We mentioned that, and that by that time we weren't interested in getting what we'd actually ordered. We did not expect to see that item on the bill, but there it was. We didn't argue, and left.The vibe here is local, and the service seemed spotty. While the restaurant may be better, the bar is not on my list of places I'll go back to.”

During the summer months you need to reserve far in advance. On the menu it says 'Well Done, If you must', we got a kick out of that. Rare all the way for this guy. “Way better layout and decor than is was before, now it's a bar and a restaurant. Great atmosphere for both meeting a friend at the bar or having a cozy date in a booth. The half price sushi on Tuesday was excellent - high quality, fresh and good value. Staff were very friendly, helpful and prompt. The menu on Tuesday during happy hour was confusing with 3 menus offered, with varying prices for the same items. The happy hour 'specials' were overpriced and not that happy - $5-8 for a glass of wine, $10 for a cheese pizza, $14 for a barvarian pretzel. Half-price sushi dinner for 2 with 2 glasses of happy hour wine and a slice of cheesecake came to $65. Still, an enjoyable night and the quality of food and service is high. Also, you can eat Al fresco upstairs in the summer, looking out over the street. It's quite nice, a cute downtown area and not too noisy.”
