“The restaurant is excellent in every way: food was tasty & well prepared, service was prompt & attentive, atmosphere was welcoming & comfortable. I wasn't at the bar, but near enough to know the bar tender does a really good job too. Also they have a huge selection of draft beer, many craft beers, as well as the larger standards that most would expect. It's all set in a historic inn that's been nicely restored. They have multiple dining rooms. The food was really good & service fabulous; I highly recommend it to those passing through Hackettstown, its worth the side track.”

“Best Italian restaurant ever. Food, drinks and customer service is the best I ever had for a pizza shop gone pro. Portions are big and one of the owners Tom treats everyone like family. I stopped going anywhere else for Italian food. Saturday nights are really busy with valet parking so get there early. I am a big fan of great customer service and this place has it. Every staff member is on their feet and moving. No one is standing still. Food is very flavorful with a gluten free menu to offer. You won't be disappointed as I have been going here for over 12 years.”

I gave it a 4 out of 5 because in the cold season they need to invest in a outdoor canopy/entrance for guests. “The McDonald's on Mountain Avenue has its good days and it's bad days. On good days, service is prompt and friendly, orders are correct, and hot food is hot. On bad days, service is more like watching jugglers trying to keep a gazillion plates spinning with varying degrees of success, orders are mixed up or have items missing, and the people manning the grills act like they are doing you a huge favor by providing you a lukewarm meal. I think this McDonald's would benefit by reopening at least one other cash register (one register during peak hours is not enough), and hiring actual "food packers" whose sole responsibility is putting together orders correctly and handing them to the customers with a "Have a nice day!" and a smile.”

“BBQ is a unique in that what you think is good BBQ and what I think is god BBQ can be two different things. And neither of us by the way are wrong. So with that disclaimer said, we got an order of pulled pork BBQ the other night and although the flavor was nice and smoky (although a little too sweet for my palate) the consistency was mushy. Now for those of you who don't have teeth or prefer simply not to chew, this might be right up your alley. But I prefer to have a bit more substance. BBQ pork should be pulled, not pureed. I still like to have whole meaty chunks that must be masticated. And at the end of the meal, there needs to be that recalcitrant strand of pork that's stuck between your teeth. You know the type, where no matter how hard you try to dislodge it with your tongue, it simply won't yield until you get home and go after it with some dental floss. So as pulled pork goes, there's no sizzle here. But don't let that stop you. For I am more than happy to return one day and try the brisket. I hear the ribs are worth a try as well. After all, one strike doesn't mean your out.”

“My friends and I came here on Sunday after lunch time. The place was decently crowded but not over packed. We started off with a round of coffee and Waters. Shortly after we ordered our food. Our coffee levels were low at this time. We were looking around for a solid 5 minutes for our waitress but couldn't find her. Eventually we flagged down another waitress and kindly asked for some coffee and she poured us cups. After the first round coffee incident, we had someone come and check on our coffee levels very frequently after that. I ordered blueberry and strawberry pancakes. The fruit was a bit bland in the pancakes, even with butter and syrup. My girlfriend also got a bowl of fresh fruit and was unhappy with the quality of the blueberries. My two other friends were very content with their meals. I would try this place again but maybe skip the fruit when it isn't in season.”
