“I stopped here to have breakfast in their fastfood style restaurant. You can sit inside or outside. They sell the large Mexican style burritos. Very good and filling. I had the Sunrise coffee which was also very good. The drink is free with a breakfast purchase. I wish the 50's style table jukeboxes worked and played 50's music. It looks like they may have at one time. They sell gas and have a restroom in their store. Inside they sell Indian gifts, flower bouquet gummy candy, indian dolls and much more. Their are plenty of Route 66 and tourist items.”

“Legit place. Service was fine. I placed a take out order. This is what my burger looked like. I had to take the tomatoes off. I couldn't belive they would even be served like this.”

“Got the Chicken Alfredo. It was ok. Nothing too special about it, but it was good. Restaurant was clean and waitress who helped us was really nice. Only complaint is food took a little longer than usual to come out to us.”

“Miss Caroline (Manager) was very considerate and a sweet lady. Being the very first time in the store was very nice. I will not suggest a Dairy Queen just because of a certain incident but Miss Caroline made it better. But I highly recommend walking around the store itself because there are so many cute items and unique different knickknacks that someone might like. They have some really beautiful backpacks and purses. I had bought myself some moccasins. I'm so excited!”

“Man o man do I want to rate this place high. I just can't though. I'll start with the good, just as everybody else says, awesome motif and a great idea. The cars and parts are a great background and the music was good. I did like the beer as well... but. It was just odd. I would put this off as we were greeted unexpectedly with the owner and staff demanding a mask... this threw me off a bit as we just can't from Texas, but I understand that they need to comply with state proclamations and they absolutely have the right on their own to require this. I could also take it as it was the bartenders first day, and it was evident that she was still learning (she did great by the way). But I just found the entire experience odd... we were forced to order before sitting down 15 feet away, I can assume this was due to the only menu being a white board below the server counter, but it was out of date and they were put off items listed. When we ordered I was asked what chips you want, but wasn't given any options. As we sat down at the bar, I personally didn't feel comfortable at all on the bar stools, and noticed the original tailgate tables, a nice touch but I found it super odd that they were the outside of the tailgates which are typically rounded. It made sense when thinking about the engineering. It's easier to make the tables with mounts that are flat, but that just looked up make it more difficult to hold food and drinks. We ordered simple BBQ fare and it took longer than expected to get it. The final bit was when we wanted to pay up, we were asked again to go to the front 15 minutes away to pay instead of paying at the bar. I just found it odd. I can go on, but don't want this to be negative. These are just meant to be constructive criticisms. This place is very original and along route 66 I can absolutely see the charm. It just seemed to fall short for me. Maybe a second chance sometime will make the experience better.”

“Good food but buffet is limited (almost all dishes are chicken). Need more variety. Also it has a regular menu but when I called to order takeout the employee said buffet only tonight, no regular orders. You can do all you can eat for fixed price or take out a box, charged by weight.”

“The thin crust pizza was pretty bad! Order the deep dish pizza! Staff was very friendly! Great service! The kids would love this place! Kayoke for the kids! Now I have to say I left my iPhone on the table and they protected it but did take some very funny pictures I just see now! I would go back! Very honest employees! 5 stars to them! The toppings were great on the pizza!”

“We tried Taco Village because it's advertised on one of their radio stations. The taquitos were pretty good. This place is known for their tacos and the tacos were, just okay. The meat was kind of weird. Plus, they're one of those places that use bagged lettuce instead of fresh. I also think that their Tomatoes were bagged and already chopped. There wasn't enough salsa given either. We did get carry out. There's another place in Grants, New Mexico that has some really good tacos. I think we'll keep getting our tacos from them. The other place uses fresh tomato and fresh lettuce and their shells and meat are awesome.”

“Burger was pretty good and filling, personally I like about half as much lettuce they had on it, and for nearly 11$ I would expect a little more though, price didn't include a drink as all items are separately billed/ no combo option for burgers. The seasoned fries were good but definitely don't get the medium size as it was really only a handful of fries, should be called a small. Reason for 4 stars. Service was good and the food tasted great though. And plenty of options for in room dining or outdoors.”

“Looking for a good hot breakfast? Found it! Best huevos rancheros ever! Best green chili salsa! Amazing handmade tortillas, especially the corn tortillas! Hand squeezed orange juice! Great coffee! I knew that I had the right place when I pulled in and the parking lot was full. Friendly waitress and a wonderful atmosphere with the nice people and beautiful decorations. Oh my goodness! I can't say enough nice about this place. Mark it down on your saved places. You'll want to come back her for real authentic New Mexican cuisine. Get a quart of the salsa to go. You won't be sorry. The price is better than the local supermarket. Breakfast was cooked to perfection! I just had to write this all down before I head home. This place puts Grant on the map! And CLEAN! The restroom, the floors, the parking lot! Not too many places like this to be found. I thank God I found it. Thank you El Cafecito!”

“Mexican lady here was sweet and nice. Their air machine doesn't work well and is confusing and she told me to go to the TA service and look for a white tire rim for free air instead of losing 2$”

“Great little steak house to hit if your visiting or passing through. I like the combination of a traditional steak house with Mexican food. They give you chips and salsa AND free bread. Service was great. We came in near closing time and they had no problem with it. The only thing they could improve on is getting the steak temperature right. Two of us ordered different steaks at different requested temperatures and both were under cooked.”

“The Dancing Jalapeño has friendly service and great food! We had the Taco Burgers, green chili fries, a few drinks and a cotton candy burrito. They were all delicious! Claudio talked with us about all the different food and desert options they had, and helped us make a great decision. His customer service is great! I’d gladly recommend this place to anyone traveling through Grant, NM on Route 66 or I-40. It’s worth the stop!”

“Ordered the 20oz. Menudo which is perfect for one person and was really delicious, only downside was it didn’t come with oregano but they do give limes, onion, and bread with butter. We also had the burrito smothered Christmas (red & green chile) which was perfectly spicy although garnish would be nice but didn’t take away that the food was excellent. The melon aguas fresca was made the way it should be. We’ll be coming back to try more of the menu!”
