“This is a good place to eat if your hungry for food”

“My favorite item here was the burritos. They were a good size and had good flavor. My second favorite thing was the Horchata, it was so delicious and refreshing. The variety of salsa they had were quite good too, they varied in spiciness so I’m sure anyone could find one they’d like. The caldo de res was good, but I prefer it made with a different type of meat. The pozole could have used more hominy but that’s just personal preference, it had good flavor but it was very spicy so keep that in mind if you can’t handle heat. The place has plenty of seating, free WiFi, and good friendly service. The only thing lacking was ambiance, at least when I was there, there was no music playing, just the sound of other customers eating, and my thoughts. You order at the counter, they do have to-go orders, and they have a large variety of options on their menu so if you’re hungry I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like.”

“Food was great, and the staff was really nice they didn’t mind to do almost anything. The atmosphere there is great, but there was not a lot of stuff on the walls. The grilled chicken taco salad was great and the chicken shrimp and steak fajita same with the grilled cheese. 👍”

“We got deployed to the area for the fires and passed by this pla e 3 times before I convinced everyone we should try it. We came back 4 days in a row, wanting to try everything. We made a dent in the options, and were so happy with each choice. It's local, it's delicious, it's fair priced and it's just fun. The folks running it are good folks. If I ever find myself coming through again I will absolutely be stopping by on my way in AND out of town”

“Panang curry was great, but portion sizes are so small. Vegetable tolls had no flavor and almost no veggies. They make you pay for water, which kinda sucks. Server disappears for long periods of time. Not sure I’ll come back.”

“The best of the best. The pulled pork, brisket, ribs, slaw, just amazing! Clean smoke flavor that comes through with some serious kicking sauce. Service was great, very friendly and attentive. We definitely feel lucky to have found this place.”

“The Good: All of the food was delicious; my party of 8 ordered several items, including a large meat lovers pizza, a tour of Italy, garlic and mozzarella sticks, calzone, and all were great. The staff was also very friendly and worked fast to get us served. The Bad: I had seen from another comment that the place was hot, in terms of the atmosphere, and I had my doubts, however, I can confirm that it did felt considerably warm inside. Which makes for an uncomfortable dining experience, especially because you’re eating hot food. The fact that the place is hot also makes everything you touch feel like it’s sticky (floor, table, etc.).”

“On a recent trip from Ruidoso Downs to Buchanan Dam, we decided to stop at Geli’s Mexican Restaurant, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with great service. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We ordered a variety of dishes, including a taco plate, chiles rellenos, queso dip, chips, and salsa. The queso was absolutely wonderful—creamy and flavorful, perfect for dipping the fresh, crispy chips. The salsa was excellent, with a perfect balance of spice and freshness. The taco plate was really good, with each taco packed with well-seasoned meat and fresh toppings. The rice and beans on the side complemented the tacos perfectly. However, the star of the meal was undoubtedly the chiles rellenos. They were the best we've had so far, cooked to perfection with a delicious filling and a perfectly crispy exterior. A charming highlight of our visit was being served sopapillas by a young girl, who we believe is the owner’s daughter. She was about 10 or 12 years old and was incredibly cute and sweet, adding a personal touch to our meal. Overall, our visit to Geli’s was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip through the area.”

“What an incredible find!! Thanks to the honest Yelp reviews!! My sister and I came back 20 years later to our birthplace! Going down memory lane was awesome. Finding wonderful New Mexican cuisine was incredible! Their service was perfect, very clean and delicious! Everything we wanted. Don’t drive by….go in and enjoy your meal!”

“Friend of mine ordered side salad (looks very healthy in amount) and 8” meat lovers pizza. I ordered a green chile burger w/fries. Food was good, a bit pricey as it came to more than $50 including two beers. Also, I like Cheeseburger Subs from places up north as it is normal and have seen them in places like Albuquerque, but when I went to order it here.. it was just a green chile cheeseburger even though it was listed under sandwiches and subs. I’ve never called a hamburger a sandwich. A few other things to be nit picky about like how the ranch was also extra money as well even though they don’t even give you a big ranch for extra. The burger meal itself is more expensive than other REALLY good specific burger joints in the Alamogordo area. I do understand though, they are a more geared Italian cuisine restaurant, not a burger place. Also waitress didn’t ask if we wanted another round of brews. Will come again for quality and freshness of food, but hoping service is better.”

“I ordered the seafood lovers bowl (mixed up in the photo). It was very fresh, fresh ingredients. The sauces complimented it well. The cashier was very friendly and informative. Great prices and plenty of options. Definitely will be going back and recommending to friends.”

“So happy to have this mart in town. You can’t go wrong with any of their offerings, especially chorizo. Best on the market. Long-time local owners who truly deserve your business. Next time you’re there, grab their fresh tortillas.”

“There is no better breakfast burrito in Santa Fe. When I found this place my entire opinion of Santa Fe went up. Hard to tell if the food is better then the people or the people better then the food. TOP NOTCH TOP CLASS. You can always tell when food is made with love.”

“Had my sisters wedding her, and it was beautiful. Great for a large gathering. Accommodated 150+ people with ease. The children loved the rope swing in the lower field and large grass areas to run and play. Dinning room, buffet, bar, and restrooms all clean.”

“Food was delicious. We had breakfast. This is a place everyone returns to once they've been. They have a counter with all sorts of delicious desserts all made in house. Check before you go, as I have seen it very busy with people standing in line to get in. You are to figure out what you want from the menu out front before you actually go in. There is shaded out door seating as well.”

“Ordered a carry-out for one pizza. There was an older gentleman boxing orders up and greeted me. He assisted me with my order. He was very kind and very attentive to my needs, despite there seeming to be a rush of orders coming through the store. He made sure I had everything I needed for a good lunch. I did not catch his name but an overall calming person in the midst of a busy environment. There was another employee at the time: an older lady with glasses making the food. After some time with the older gentleman, the lady started making some snide comments, mostly complaining about order fulfillment times. There was an underlying comment hinting that the older gentleman was the cause of “bad fulfillment times.” The older gentleman did seem to have some sort of physical limitations in terms of fast movement, but his smile and demeanor made up for it 110%. I do not appreciate the bad-mouthing of fellow coworkers, especially in the presence of other people, and especially on a man doing his best. Five stars for the older gentleman”
