“Ran out of gas this store came to my rescue! This store is pretty run down an old. But the care put into it deserves 10 stars. I had read some bad reviews amd was concerned, glad I experienced it myself. The people can't help that it's old no reason to try to shame them for something not in their comtrol. I've never seen any convience store keep up with the trash around their bins. I'm most impressed with them helping when I ran out of gas though. Friendly folks. Goes to show sometime others experiences won't be your own.”

“Had Simple Simon's for the first time today. We are from NJ and have had lots of pizza. The offerings here are amazing and delicious. We will definitely be back. Last night, I messaged them on Facebook to ask about gluten friendly options. Even though it was late, and the store was closed, they responded letting me know the options available to stay gluten friendly. “When you order always make sure you are being charged properly. I made an order of wings, a medium pepperoni pizza and a Philly cheese steak sandwich. The lady on the phone told me my total was 40.83! The pizza and the sandwich are 6.99 a piece while the wings were 8.99. This happens all the time and if you don't call them out on it, you will be overcharged Everytime!”

“Almost went to a place very close to this one but didn’t because the prices were outrageous. Decided instead on the Do Drop In and man did we luck out!! Not sure where to even start on all the pros..prices were reasonable, service was beyond excellent..very friendly and helpful, great atmosphere with cute games to play while waiting, food was delicious, servings were plentiful and the cherry on top was their homemade ice cream!! I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Will definitely be going back the next time we’re in Portales and recommending it to all of our friends and family.”

“It is a bit over priced. Waited 30 minutes for wings and mozzarella sticks. They were soggy. They call out in batches not as the food is done per order. I will say the wings were good for a university cafe, but the sauce is given on side rather slathered as advertised. It just felt like paying a lot, waiting a long time for me to additional work (saucing the wings) was not worth it.”

“The service was less than great. I waited about 15 minutes for a water and my husband waited 25 minutes for a flight of beer. There was only one waiter working for 6 patrons at the bar and five tables. Once our food was ordered it was relatively quick, but we had to go up multiple times asking for silverware and we were never asked about our food or refills for drinks. The food was decent, definitely not as good as it used to be a few years ago. They are very light with the toppings and overcompensate with cheese, but charge you an arm and a leg for toppings, at least make it even. The salad was good, but it's very overpriced for the size that you get. We expected more since we had been here multiple times a few years ago, but I doubt we'll go back now even though we live here.”

The Saturday morning menudo was flavorful, a perfect bit of spiciness, and accompanied by onion, cilantro, lime wedges, and tortilla. $8.75 for small, $10.00 for large. “It be the small town hole in wall with the best food! And very reasonably priced!!! Customer service can be a hit or miss, but they have great customer here!!! I ordered a Regular Cheeseburger. Even though they accidentally put mustard versus mayo I still throughly enjoyed it! It was the thinnest layer of mustard which is why I didn't make a fuss.
