Posa's Tamale Factory & Restaurant

Absolutely delicious tamales, I had green sauce, and my husband had red. Red was spicier there, but both are so good. We also got sopapillas with our meal, they were delicious. Great price for a lot of food!

If you’re looking for some flavorful New Mexican food in the state capital, give Posas on Rodeo Road a go. From the amazing aromas lingering around the building, to the lady upfront running the cash register - it gives me nostalgia from my childhood with the flavors and environment. My favorite is usually the combination plate or any of their taco plates. However, a tamale pie or frito pie are just as amazing if not better.

Authentic family run restaurant. Delicious Mexican food. We ordered the combination which was enough for 2 people with drinks and dessert came to $20. Was continually busy with take out orders. Very reasonably priced. The girls were very helpful.

When my husband and I decided to have our wedding in Santa Fe, I thought that finding catering within our budget up to our standards would be the hardest part. Making sure our guests were well fed and had an authentic taste of New Mexico was of utmost priority for us. I grew up working in my family's restaurant, so when I found Jeff and his team at Posa's, I knew I had stumbled upon something really special. In fact, when I took my husband in for a tasting, I ran into an old friend (neither of us live in Santa Fe) who was visiting family and told me it was always his first stop in town. Jeff worked with us to craft a menu that would have something for everyone (lots of dietary restrictions with guests coming from LA and Brooklyn ), but it wasn't a problem for Jeff. Because we were doing a buffet line, I worried the food would get dry. I didn't need to worry about any of that. The food was not only delicious, but special. My father in law won't stop asking about it, and I think it intoxicated a lot of our guests for those delicious southwest flavors. Having grown up in the Southwest - this was ultimately the dream. Because the food was so reasonably priced, we were even able to send our guests off with breakfast burritos in the morning. Whether you're catering the most important event in your life, or just looking for a spot to fill your belly, Posa's is the place. Thank you for everything, Jeff.

At Posa’s El Merendero Tamale Factory you can expect all your favorite New Mexican and Mexican dishes. Their salsa is one of my favorites in the Santa Fe area. Definitely addicting!

The food is always consistent and the staff are super friendly. Their tamales are amongst the favorites with locals and visitors.

They have catering available and will set up for your event or party. I highly recommend Posa’s El Merendero Tamale Factory. They have been doing an outstanding job for decades!
