Ive never had Tibet food before and am visiting out of state, the Chai tea was so flavorful unlike any Chai ive had before and the soup was good too, reminded me of pho
It was okay ish for the price. The menu looked great and I was so excited to try this food. When it came out it was really kinda flavorless and bland. I ordered the veggie soup and it came almost gelatinous (which is fine- like egg drop soup base) but it was like drinking thick salty water and the vegetables weren’t really there. Just a few cauliflower crumbs and like four pieces of spinach. The fried rice was probably the best thing I ordered, and that was like a 6/10. The basmati rice came way over cooked and soft. It was like biting into soft grits. All in all it wasn’t that bad for the price but had I paid any more these three stars would quickly turn into two at best.
Incredible food. Got the spicy potatoes, shogo pingsha, and veggie momos. Everything was so full for flavor. Service was fast and kind. Great butter tea, too!
Honestly I’m just happy that we have a Tibetan restaurant in Santa Fe and I will support them whenever I can. I love dumplings so I always order momos. Their food might not be excellent but it is authentic and the flavor is good. Not sure why some people find their dishes bland. I think it’s mainly because lots of Americans are so used to salty food.
