The seating we had was at a table facing the water, unfortunately the windows were very dirty with bugs in it. It kind of took away from the view. “Stumbled upon Elfs on a hungry afternoon drive from Montreal to Lake Placid. The roadside sign drew us in and I'm so glad it did! Tom was a welcoming + entertaining host -- he had to step away from our conversation a few times to chase birds away from his grapes outside in the vineyard! The cider was great and the food even better. The maple burger + corn fritters are a must and I hope to find out how future iterations of the bean soup come along! Took a bottle of wine for the road + can only hope that we'll have the opportunity to return!”

“The Michigan's are the best. The sauce is not too spicy, nor too bland! It just the perfect flavor. You can get the Michigan with plain Frankfurters or glaziers. I always choose the glaziers. So tasty and truly mouthwatering. When you ask for onions, there are onions, and a good amount, however if you don't care for onions they will accommodate your request. Their fries are crispy, crunchy and delicious. The waitresses are very good and actually listen to the order given! Great place to eat. If you have never been there, definitely try it!!!”
