“Went for a drive through Pine Plains today and stopped by for lunch. My wife had the grilled cheese and soup and I had the burger and soup and I have to say I was really impressed!! This was one of the best burgers I ever had. My wife loved the grilled cheese and it looked wonderful. Also the Tomato bisque was fantastic. For what looked like a hole in the wall place I could not have been happier. Great crowd of people and the owner was gracious and friendly. Will return here for sure on my weekend rides.”

“Review just for THE CABIN, as Tower Pizza (the restaurant/pizzeria half) was closed (two separate establishments, Google!) The Cabin bar is cozy, with very friendly locals. Taxidermed animals decorate the inside. Four beers on tap; three domestic, one import. Full bar, with at least one liquor or every type. Very friendly bartender/proprietor.”

Average price for breakfast, but the food is always cooked properly... My suggestion is to get sausage with your order (it's locally made and very tasty)”

“I was there on a Sunday late afternoon... It has a fifties vibe, very clean and cozy... You order at the counter and I found the person working their very pleasant... All of that was good... Now I have a problem with a place called a Spud shack that doesn't have baked potatoes, (they were out) nor did they have steak fries or curly fries... But I ordered the basic French fries with cheese and bacon and they were good... Also ordered the cheeseburger and got a water... The cheeseburger was cooked properly (medium) but it was dry, but the brioche bun was good... Total bill was 14$ ... If not for the dry burger and no real Spud choices I would have given this place 4 stars”

“Venison with pear sauce was delicious, but for the short ribs they seem to have swapped out boneless brisket, without notice. Still, the sauce was excellent, a good thing because the meat had no decided flavor. The chicken breast with morel sauce - and chicken breast is but a vehicle for a sauce - what can I say. The distinctive morel flavor is fit for the nonexistent gods. The old coach house has atmosphere enough for a romantic evening or a mother's day meal. Prices on the high side for the area, but so is the gastronomic level. Be hungry if you go. The portion size is American size large rather than French slender.”

“Fantastic authentic Mexican food. Fresh made salsa is bright and spicy worth the visit on its own. Got the tacos which were also excellent. Order the fruit water which was almost a smoothie, but very refreshing. Glad I found this on my way through town. If I find myself near Pine plains again, I'll make an excuse to try more of the menu!”
