The protein shakes taste better than regular milkshakes and will leave you wanting more. The avocado toast with assorted toppings (bacon is the best!) is made on large pieces of bread and tastes amazing! If you get a muffin, get it heated up and it will literally melt in your mouth. The coffee from their supplier is delicious with lots of flavor options. So yeah, the food is great but the service is 10000 times better! “This is a nice change up from the routine chain motel. A key word to keep in mind is, "historic." The exterior and lobby could use a little more restoration but the room was in great condition, clean and recently painted. Just don't expect a mini fridge or microwave and you won't disappointed. No free breakfast but breakfast available in dining room on Saturday and Sunday. Food was excellent and moderately priced. Service was beyond outstanding.”

“Super friendly people. The homemade brownies for the sundae were fudgy and perfect. I'm not a fan of jar hot fudge on anything, scratch made is so much better, but it wasn't a deal breaker. They only have hard ice cream for now, as one poor soul found out when he tried to order a soft serve- but they're working on getting soft serve going.”

“Ordered Açaí Bowls for dinner for the family. My first Açaí Bowl. They were delicious. Not sure quite big enough to fill me for dinner, but probably what I should be eating after gaining weight in 2020... lol. My wife picked them up and said the workers were very pleasant and curious. We will definitely go back.... We want to try the smoothies too. You can find there menu on Facebook and I just called in the order. They are on the back side of the plaza next to Fit Happens. “Food and service very good. Nice little place by the lake. They have tables you can sit at to enjoy your meal. There is plenty of parking for you to park. Menu is nice size for a small place. I had the chicken wings and steak quesadilla which I was full after eating. The other person in my party had the bacon cheese burger with fries that came with it. She was full after eating that as well. The burger looked very good I was told it was good. If you want to get out of the city and have a little meal I would stop by this place. It is on the sacandaga lake so if you are on a boat you should be able to stop here and get a meal. I drove up in my car but I did see a dock with boats.”

“My husband and I visited Wine and Roses while on a family vacation in the area. We hadn't been on a date night in over 2 years and we are so glad we chose this restaurant! I have quite a few dietary restrictions and allergies and it's very hard to eat out. We were able to contact the restaurant ahead of time regarding my restrictions and they were beyond helpful and accommodating to ensure I had a delicious meal! Everyone was very pleasant and helpful including our waitress who was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and food. We would definitely recommend!!”

“Upstate visiting family and as a person with 6 years of Restaurant management experience at two successful private family establishments, I was curious after reading the mixed reviews. The food was excellent and appropriately priced, eggs cooked perfectly, bread and bacon were great and the coffee was very good as well. Best Hash I’ve had in YEARS. Everyone working there was very kind. That said it seems like theirs no management to speak of - I sat by the kitchen and there was definitely some challenges as far as delegation of tasks and ease in finding things. I don’t know what kind of ticketing system they use in the back but I think if they took a couple hours and had a meeting about organization they’d be a powerhouse”
