“We tried The Lamplighter at a friend's suggestion. We really enjoyed our meal of seafood pasta and eggplant. The atmosphere is quiet and our waitress was attentive without being annoying. For dessert we had the donuts and they were perfect pillows of soft dough with homemade butterscotch and chocolate sauce. Truly one of the best desserts I've had in a restaurant.”

“The food here is always great. There hasn't been anything that I ordered that I didn't enjoy. The portions are plentiful, and their prices are low. The staff is also very wonderful and prompt. The only downside (which is not even a problem) is that they close around Noon. West Winds Cafe is my #1 spot for breakfast when I have the chance.”

“How's this for customer service? I work downtown and a coworker of mine told me to go to Caraglios in Gates if you need a good vegan pizza. I ordered a sheet pizza half (pep/half cheese) for our group and a medium veggie-no cheese pizza for somebody on our team who has special dietary needs. Because Caraglio's doesn't deliver into the city from the Gates location, I drove out to pick up. I didn't even check to make sure everything was good before I paid, instead i just picked up the boxes and left (my fault). Once I got back to my office, we realized there was cheese on the veggie pizza. I called and the woman knew exactly what I ordered and knew exactly what happened. Without hesitation she gave me a few options and we decided we would just have a new pizza delivered when her driver returned from other delivers. They went above and beyond and had a fresh pizza delivered to my building AND gave us a full refund for the wrong pizza. I'm absolutely stunned and so pumped that there are businesses like Caraglios out there that truly believe in customer service and satisfaction. I will definitely be recommending this place whenever somebody asks for a great pizza in Rochester. Thanks again, Caraglios!”

“This is probably one of the best local restaurants you can go to in the North Greece area. The food is always delicious plus the quality and portions you get for the money are crazy. The specials are always interesting and creative, the owner oversees food production a good portion of the time or he is taking part in preparing the food, and all the drinks are quiet reasonable in comparison to other bars in the area, they have half price drinks from 2-4pm, and fifty cent wings on Thursday, all day. My girlfriend and I are regulars at this point and we go here once or twice a week. I highly recommend everyone give this restaurant and bar a shot at some point. You might just find yourself becoming a regular, too.”

Every hot sub my boyfriend and I have tried have been incredible, especially the steak sub. Great spinach artichoke dip, garlic bread and fried foods.
