Firstly, they brought us a glorious bread basket. It had a variety of tasty bits in it. We ordered a Mojito and an Arnold Palmer and the Arnold Palmer was never refilled or even offered to be refilled, someone just came and took the glass off the table and that was the end of that. The Caesar salad was pretty small and very basic. The beef carpaccio was pretty good with a nice portion of sliced truffles. The Barolo braised short ribs were tasty and cooked well. The absolute star was the veal chop, which was super thin and crispy. The gnocchi seppia however was unfortunate. It was too soft for my palate and the Uni on top was grainy like it had sand in it. Also the server added cheese on top that I definitely did not like. The mashed potatoes were interesting, in the way that they are good at first but the longer you eat them the less you like them… They were very sweet, which is not what you expect mashed potatoes taste like. With the $282 price tag before tip I probably would not return to this restaurant. It wasn’t overly busy and I imagine they get a lot of their patrons from the Ritz Carlton which is right next door.
My family and I had a perfect dinner at Gabriel's. We had a lot of good drinks (including the espresso martini 🤌) and amazing food (highly recommend the burrata app and tagliatelle bolognese). But my favorite part of the experience was the service provided by the impressive staff. Thanks for having us, we'll definitely be back!
My favorite restaurant in nyc! The service is stunning and the staff is so professional and friendly. The food is absolutely great - they have amazing vegetarian dishes as well and great red wine. It’s the perfect location for a date night.
We had a very delicious brunch here and didn’t have to wait for it on Sunday morning. The food looks very pretty here. Perfection 👏👏👏!
We had a great lunch catching up with some family from out of town at Gabriel's. The staff was very accommodating. We were a group of seven and they were able to accommodate our request for outdoor seating. They do of course have cafe style outdoor seating, but normally it's two-top tables, so they had to do some pre-prep beforehand. When it started to rain the staff was very quick about asking us if we wanted the table rearranged into an L shape so as to provide more awning cover for the farthermost seat. Very attentive service throughout.
We ordered a variety of dishes. The seared scallops were perfectly cooked. Meatballs were small but tasty. Tuna tartare was good, on par with how it should normally taste. The gnochhi was soft and pillowy, not too dense, with a rich tomato sauce. But I think the short ribs were the standout, very moist and tender.
