“I've ordered from Sushi Skooba on two separate occasions. Ordered the Chirashi Bowl and the Tuna Bowl. Skooba gets four stars for quality and one star for being incredibly chintzy with the amount of sushi that they provide. There is no qualitative difference between their Sushi and other higher end kosher sushi places so that is not a valid explanation for why they are so cheap.$32 for a bowl with three or four small pieces of fish covered with vegetables is unacceptable. The same thing happened the next time I ordered so now I know that it was not a mistake.”

“I always love coming here. There are a ton of options and all the food is fresh and really great. I especially love the prices. I can normally share many dishes with friends and not pay more than $20 each! My only complaint would be the service - they are a little rude and slow. They also don't carry all the wines on the list and will try to sell you on a more expensive option. As long as you tell them that you want to pay for the same price as the one on the menu, then they will give you what you want. Also - make sure they cool the white wine before serving! Other than this, I love coming here for the food.”

“We found Mom's on google when looking for a good weekday breakfast and they serve brunch all day and so we thought it sounded like a good deal. Plus, any place with an aggressively rainbow vibe is my kind of establishment. The decor was adorable. So kitschy and a lovely tribute to TV moms and pop culture in general. Our server was Jade and they were absolutely incredible. Cheerful, informative, and chatty. I loved it! I had the mac and cheese pancakes, and they were an actual work of art. The combination of the cheese sauce and the spicy honey made them perfect. I could only eat half of what they brought me, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's a common situation because the portions are so large. The coffee was great and the bathrooms were large and clean. This has made our list of 'every time we're in the city' places going forward!”

“Very chilled out hole in the wall establishment with super friendly server and barback. Stopped in for some drinks and hookah while visiting the City one snowy weekend and felt welcomed in other than the guy at the door weirdly sending us next door initially which is an annex area of theirs where no one was sitting. Drinks and music were great and they even asked about our preferences for the music and we said what they were playing was fine. Diverse crowd. Hookah was fine and they changed the coals regularly but quality seemed different than we are used to. Otherwise would definitely recommend!”
