“Happened to walk by the truck near Rockefeller Center on my way to take the subway home. Never tried Birria before, so why not? Ordered 2 tostadas at $4 each. One pork, one beef. Got home 35 mins later, so I had to reheat. Still one of the best tostadas I ever had! Tortillas super crispy, yet meat was moist and delicious, with such great flavor! So glad I ordered them, and I am actually looking forward to heading to midtown again (just for the tostadas)!”

“If they opened an hour earlier each day they would get a lot of business from the high school George Washington Campus. I know a lot of teachers who have been wanting to try this place but miss it since they open at 11:30-12. Our lunch breaks end often around 11:30-12. Excellent food!!!”

“My wife and I are so pleased at this excellent addition to the neighborhood. We have ordered various soups, sushi, edamame, and other items. Everything is exquisitely prepared with the freshest ingredients. The menu is varied. If you wish to spend less, there are entry-level preparations. If you wish to go high-end, there is much available as well. The restaurant is take out only, which usually meets our needs, but if you are seeking a sit-down Japanese restaurant, you will have to go down to their sister ramen shop down on Bennett and 181. One amazing thing about their service is that, when you order, they give you a fairly precise time that the food is ready, and when you arrive, it is indeed ready. Try it, and enjoy!!”

“Legacy bar and Grill is a family friendly place to enjoy some tasteful food. I am a big lover of Octopus and there is not a lot of places around my neighborhood that sells it. But this place has an amazing octopus dish- It’s well cooked and with flavor with decent price. My favorite appetizer is the calamari with the delicious sauce( and it’s not the regular Marinara ) it’s their special house sauce.”

“Came in here by myself. Sat at the bar. The place was packed at 12:30 in the afternoon. Had a beer in front of me in 60 seconds. Knew I was getting a burger so I didn’t even ask for a menu. My burger was in front of me barely 10 minutes after I ordered it. Piping hot, grilled to perfection. Nice and juicy. Fries were surprisingly delicious. A cut I’ve never seen which tells me they are made fresh. Even though the bartender was busy as hell, he was funny, attentive and super friendly - just what you’d expect from a neighborhood NYC bar. For anyone complaining about this place - ITS A BAR. Get a grip. Go to a snooty place on Madison ave. JG was fun, delicious, and definitely worth the visit!”

“Only ordered from there, haven’t dined inside but it looks cute with mini diner-style booths! The chicken Caesar salad is the best I’ve had and trying it sparked off a Caesar (salad) obsession. Their fries- both normal and truffle- are beautiful. Reasonable prices, rather large portions. Great location for a bit of shopping too!”

“The restaurant design is super cute with different setups to offer. It's packed. Our meals are all delicious except my fish and chip unfortunately. My fish breading wasn't crispy but soft and wet. I didn't know what happened that day. However, service was excellent. Lobster Benedict was delicious though. I will go back to try other things.”

“First, the service is about as good as anyone would ever want. The main server was knowledgeable and helpful with menu choices. And the Captain was a local who gave great background information about the rich history of the restaurant and how your order was sourced. Dowling's was renovated and the decor is stunning. The atmosphere is amazing which keeps it far from the madding crowd of restaurants-in-hotels vibe. The tuna tartare was light, cheerful and a great way to start off. The dover sole is a rarity in the city. It is prepared and deboned table-side. It has a light, lemon, taste that melts in your mouth. Similarly, the lamb shank is tender and falls off the bone. Do not pass up on Dowling's at the Carlyle! The staff made us feel like VIPs. And the food backed it up. It was a wonderful experience that we will definitely have again.”

“What a gem! Truly authentic Mexican cuisine, exceptional service, could not be cleaner, darling decor and branding. The food arrived so quickly and was amazingly fresh, hot, delivered exactly to order, and the flavors were incredible. Delicious chips and salsa so authentic I didn't think one could find them outside of Mexico. Would also be a perfect takeout choice!”
