“I love the fresh foods they have and don't mind paying a little extra for it. However, I won't buy beer there because they ask everyone for an ID to purchase it. Im 60 years old, not 19 years old. They say its a state law to get the ID. Well, it's not a law. The employees just have to use their heads. I can see if their policy was if I looked under 25 but it's not. Oh well, I'll shop for beer elsewhere.”

“Great place with a view of the lake on one side. Very popular in the county for parties and catering. Not really a Sports Bar, the bar area has a couple of large screens for the big games. The food.... Heaven. I recently had Scallops and they were to die for. Another recent visit I tried their Fish & Chips and found them the best I've ever had... And I lived in Britain for a while ~ Altogether a great place for friends... Kids also welcome... Crayons on the table for them without asking. Parking is easy... Pub section can get crowded but the employees are over the top with service so you'll never wait long for a refill. Cheers”

“Everything which one expects from a gas station. Even during a blizzard, Brewster Shell stayed open. All pumps were in good repair, with digital displays showing the gas prices and consumption. Discounts are available for those participating in Shell’s customer reward programme. The store was clean though small, offering coffee/tea by Keurig. The attendant was a friendly foreigner. On site is a shop for automotive repairs and inspections. Outside is a bench for travellers who may want to repose.”

“This is an OK dining experience. I’ll call it authentic because it was full of Mexican people - both eating and serving here. But, be forewarned: Spanish language skills are a MUST here. The food was good, and the World Cup was showing. But, my order was wrong and my gracious friend’s meal got cold while waiting for my right one to come. We asked for extra salsa, it never came. We asked for salad dressing, it never came. And, while the Horchata was only $2, it tasted a little thin to me.”

“One of the best NY style pizza I’ve had at a reasonable price too. The slices were large with a good cheese to sauce ratio. Sauce was a bit acidic, but not overwhelming. The dough was soft and held its form well, crust was crunchy on the outside and soft within. It wasn’t oily either. Their garlic knots were a bit small, but you get 6. They were really soft and not too garlicky. I’d get marinara sauce on the side.”

Going for dinner with family or friends, or even alone for an end of the day beer - the Bull & Barrel is the place to go! Why do I say this... because I enjoy good food, and I like to feel special. That’s what the Bull & Barrel does consistently! Since they opened, being there many times, each time I’ve walked out happy for going there! Greeted by a smile, enjoyed every meal, love their in-house crafted beers, the staff is “just the best” from the bus people, waitresses, bartenders all the way up to the owners - good people, who treat you right. They want you happy, and they do it! After all this, and I could rave on, I’m really just saying go to the Bull & Barrel! Tell your friends and have “that place” where you’ll always enjoy yourself. We all need that!”

“This is a gem of a place to have a snack, eat a meal, or have some drinks. The food is great, have the avocado egg rolls with pesto dipping sauce. Lot's of vegan choices here, but if you eat meat and fish, you won't leave hungry. They have a bar with very creative drinks on offer. My husband had a bourbon, pear, ginger and apple concoction, served in an IV bag with a straw. The perfect adult sippy cup. Laid back, comfortable vibe.”

“Very friendly, food is fresh, excellent. My go to place for Italian food. Since I last posted this i ordered a pie their Bronx Bomber. They told me 30-45 min. I showed up at 45min. They forgot to make the pie. Instead of telling me they tried to hide it. I walked out, I would have taken something else. The next time, I called they put me on hold for at least 5 min. I hung up went somewhere else. The final time I went there, I ordered the Bronx Bomer again, read the beginning of this post, the same thing happened. I wasn't alone several others and there were a lot of people waiting for pick up were all having the same experience. That was it for me, I found a place up the rd i like better. They will never see me again.”

“The 3 star rating is for the "diner" feel, not the food, which is excellent. Two different friends recommended that we try this relatively new restaurant, so on a Sunday afternoon we did and were happy we did. The interior is bright and modern, with seven tables and a long bench type table, directly in front of the large TV, behind the bar. The staff was very pleasant and we couldn't help but notice how often the phone range for delivery and pick up orders. As always we started with Mussels, in a White Wine garlicky sauce that was delicious and perfect with the Garlic Bread that was on the table. Southwestern Grilled Cajun Shrimp Salad with baby arugula, shredded carrots, avocado and tomatoes in a roasted pepper vinaigrette is wonderful. Tortellini Nonna, Shrimp cheese tortellini, sun-dried tomato and sweet peas in parmesan sauce is wonderful. Wonderful is a good word to describe the food here. A good Pinot Grigio went well with our choices. The menu is large with many house originals, the prices are very reasonable, and the chef is very talented. This restaurant may be out of the way but it's definitely worth the trip, if you don't mind the lack of ambiance.”
