“Okay...there are no ratings for Testo's that adequately represent the food and the service. The food is great. The service is great. The portions are good enough for you to loosen the belt just before the drive home. We have not had Italian food at ANY restaurant in the Capital District that compares. We ate here often...more than we should but who can stop? So, we moved. Not good for business but great for the gut! :-) In all seriousness, we moved for other reasons but we really miss going to Testo's. We sometimes say, "Let's get Testo's!" But our hatred for driving 787 in Cohoes always wins!”

“Place is called "My Dacha", apparently. Wonderful menu options - not your typical food options. Definitely check it out if you're looking for something different, yet delicious. Very friendly owner, fresh food.”

“Tonight, I am giving Taco Tuesday 5 stars. The fish tacos had fried jalapenos on top, they were delicious. The other tacos were also great. The waitress and bartender were friendly and personable. They did a great job, tending to us as well as chatting. Just told my extended family next week is Taco Tuesday at bootleggers and to join us.”

“I made a reservation thru Google. Google alerted me that my table was ready about 20 secs before they called my name. I had the pick 3: Ribs, sausage and brisket. All three were delicious with a nice smoked flavor. I picked the mac and cheese and whipped sweet potatoes for my sides. The mac and cheese was creamy and tasty. The whipped sweet potatoes were good, but not quite as sweet as I like. The service was very fast. We were in and out within a half hour.”

“I had lunch this Friday afternoon. I ordered the Uncle Sam- a huge multi-meat hoagie. I could only eat 1/2 the sandwich; the other 1/2 was thoughtfully wrapped in advance to take back with me. The sandwich was great. The ambiance was inviting- the walls cluttered with humorous sayings. Special kudos to the friendly and witty young lady that took my order. This will be my go-to place for lunch when in Troy, NY.”

“I went here on graduation Saturday. Brown's was packed with people which I thought contributed to the slower service, but still not too bad. Nice warm atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed. I had the fish tacos which were very good. Brown's has this jalapeno sauce that adds the perfect amount of zing. Others in my group had the cheese burger and they all were very satisfied with the quality and quantity. Very nice place with great food fare.”

“I used to work there. got fired because my “tax papers weren’t filled out” after a month working. Overall there not really organized with the schedule or anything with that matter, good place to shop but not a good place to work”

“Our first time here. The ambiance was out dated but nostalgic of when you were younger going to a family owned restaurant. Seems like many locals come in regularly. Staff is very friendly and prompt. The food was okay, I do recommend avoiding the blackened swordfish as the chefs are too heavy with salt for seasoning. They tried explaining that Cajun spices are spicy but this was a matter of extremely over salting. The manager, Rick was incredibly kind and very understanding to our issue with the dish and comped the meal. Ownership was extremely respectful thereafter as well. We are local to the area and may try again.”

“Sue took a risk shutting down Sweet Sue's and locating out of downtown, but it really works. Great atmosphere (and new party space upstairs for small dinner party or cocktail party. Steal of a room rent for a party: free if you cater with her.) Can't say I will be able to watch my waistline if I go there too much: free (large!) cookie with a meal. Food is fantastic always. Good work Sue!”

“Nice clean place.place . Staff have always been very polite. Mr Subb does not have the variety of Subway but what they do offer tastes great. I especially like the meatball Torpedo. I have noticed a trend of getting less for my Dollar. You really have to add extra everything to get what was regular a few years ago, but sadly it seems just about everyone is doing this these days. For instance the bacon has gotten so thin you can actually see through it! On the plus side the wraps are twice the size of Subway. Expect to pay 10 bucks for a properly filled large sub after you double everything up. One tip, don't buy your drink there for 2.50. Go across the street to Stuarts and get it for 99 cents.”

“Local mainstay chain. Walk up ordering, essentially upstate comfort food: fish fries, onion rings, shakes, burgers. Order a "fish with" if you want fish fry with chili sauce. Ordering fries will get you fried potatoes. Go for a chocolate shake, and bring home an extra fish for later.”

“Modernized and well-maintained branch of Stewart’s. Good illumination without being too strident. Digitized price signs on the pumps. Car vacuum outside. Inside all sorts of foodstuffs and refreshments — hot and cold — are available. Newspapers, magazines and basic necessities like products for hygiene. Lotto is on sale, and behind the counter, ice cream in cones is prepared.”

“This wonderful breakfast place has the best waitress around Lansingburgh. The home fries are cooked with a lot of care and nice and crispy. One of the few places you can actually get an egg over medium without any runny whites in it. I do recommend you get the sausage patties instead of the links if you're a sausage lover. And try the banana pancakes sure lot of carbs there but you're getting some potassium as well.”

“Hot Dog Charlie's is a staple of the North Troy, NY community. I'm so happy to see this business back, in a better location and by all appearances from our visit on a Sunday afternoon busy and thriving. We ordered 2 dozen dogs "with the works" and curly fries with cheese on the side. The 2 women working the counter Sunday were quick and efficient and friendly. They apologized for our wait but considering that there were several patrons ahead of us I did not consider our wait to be long at all. We look forward to our next visit.”

“We had a crispy chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, and a kids corn dog meal. Chicken and fish were good. Corn dog was skimpy. Taters and onion rings we're delicious.”

“I usually come into this restaurant a lot! GREAT SERVICE WITH GREAT FOOD! While being stuck at work all day, I tried to order some food but it was a little complicated I called and the lady and gentleman took their time to and helped me figure out how to use grub hub! GREAT EXPERIENCE!”

“I don't like this pizza anyway, but this store is always empty... Never has a full rack of pizzas even when they're slammed... I don't like it... Domino's is 5.99 for 2 or more medium, and they have so many more menu items so even if you didn't like it were sick of their pizza, you can still have so many other meal selections, $5.99 for 2, just makes more sense to me to Goa block away and watch them make it... That little caesars looks suspect!”

“Liberty is our go to pizza spot. Their pizza isn't greasy like most of the other local pizza places. We usually pick up a 24 cut and it's always done quickly and the folks at the shop are always friendly when we pick it up. They have other food options as well. I totally recommend Liberty.”
