The burgers are excellent and enormous. The staff is terrific and clearing trained to the highest of standards. “My family had a very special birthday dinner for my mother at the 1770 House. My mother, who has Alzheimer's and had not been out of the house for two years, told us that she wanted to go out to dinner for her 86th birthday. She recalled that she and my father always went the the 1770 House for special occasions. We made a reservation and explained the circumstances. The staff could not have been more understanding. They even let us bring the special grape juice that we serve my mother as wine, and brought her a glass complete with the three ice cubes she requires. They made sure to serve each course promptly, so that my mother did not become impatient. They treated her with absolute dignity and respect. My father, my sister and I will always remember this night when our family was able to celebrate after some very long and hard years. 1770 House helped make it possible.”

“Sure, Jungle Pete’s had shuffleboard, and the tab was occasionally paid with artwork from JP, but Springs Tavern has really great food. As it’s Good Friday, I sat at the bar and enjoyed the swordfish and a Patron margarita. Outstanding. And, every 10 songs or so on the jukebox was Donald Fagen or Steely Dan. Good times.”
