“The food is good - been there so I often to know it's usually very good - fresh and reasonably priced. They will accommodate you with how spicy you want your food. It would get more stars, except for service. Mostly they are prompt and accommodating but you have one wait staff (she's there a long time and seem most fluent in English) who is abrupt, brusque and no non sense who can be rude and dismissive.”

“The Jamaican food is amazing, call ahead to make sure the Jamaican chef is there. The ox tail and jerk chicken which includes sides were the best we’ve had anywhere including Queens. Food prices are very reasonable. This is a hidden treasure, probably not for long if marketing kicks in. This bar is a nice place to meet with friends. The place could use some renovating, but the bartenders and owner are really good people..great customer service and that great food you gotta try:))”

“I came here for dinner last night with my mother and daughter on my mother's recommendation after my daughter said she wanted Japanese food to go out to. The food was delicious, (I especially loved the ginger salad dressing!) the environment was very nice. Servers and hosts were very attentive as well. “The great diners of the eighties are alive and well in the suburbs of Long Island. Dix Hills is a massive restaurant with all the classic dishes and a great small town vibe. On the Sunday morning I went the place was packed and neighbors of all ages were bouncing between tables and socializing. The food is solid - nothing spectacular but a cut above the usual diner fare. If I'm in the neighborhood I would definitely go back.”

“Casual atmosphere. Excellent meal. We had the mussels in red sauce and mozzarella with roasted peppers for appetizers. Both were excellent. Mussels were perfectly done—cooked and succulent. For dinner we had the chicken in lemon and rosemary, and pan seared chicken with spinach and mozzarella. Both were generous portions and delicious. The homemade Italian cheese cake was better than most. They have a good wine selection. We had a very good bottle of Chianti’s for only $42.”

Small parking lot that fills up fast especially on the weekends and at night. Simple menu that makes ordering easier. Super thin crust pizza that is ordered by the meter, just like in Italy. Great pasta dishes as well. Live Music from 6 - 9pm which is great. Very Reasonably priced. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Staff is very friendly. Yummmm. Came in this huge dish that reminded me of a big spaghetti serving bowl. Meat was extremely tender, real mashed potatoes. (Not from a box) my friend had the grilled chicken with roasted red peppers, and Cole slaw. She loved it. Oh, my meal came with a soup. Had the potato and bacon soup....delish. if you need a snazzy/ ketchy place, this is not for you. If you want great food with great service with a homey feel, this is for you.
