“감사합니다, 너무 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다!! I was so excited to try out a new Korean place in town, and they really did not disappoint! The menu is extensive and even offers a vegetarian section. I was craving something that had more of a home cooked feel, so I ordered the grilled mackerel, which comes with a side of dwenjang jjigae (Korean miso soup) and rice. Unfortunately, you have to pay for their banchans (side dishes) unless you order one of the larger shared meals, but it was honestly worth it. The kimchi was delicious. The fish was grilled perfectly, and the soup was a lovely complement for it all. The full meal felt like I was eating a meal my mom had made for me. In addition, the manager and employees were incredibly kind. They packed some extras in with my order: a side of steamed egg, as well as an extra container of cucumber kimchi. I was so grateful for this gesture of kindness. Thank you, Kimchi, for this meal! I will most definitely be back and will be spreading the word about this new restaurant.”

“Love the food! We have been here a few times now and the food is amazing.. However, the service hasn't been great, we waited 20 minutes for a tablet to order, until we finally asked some other customers to use theirs, on top of that, once we got our tacos they were well and truly cold, they still tasted great, but I'm sure it would have been better just slightly warmer. Seemed to be a case of sitting out waiting to be brought over, on a not so busy Tuesday night...”

“I work at the Backlot. Serendipity is a catering company but with less events due to COVID-19, they decided to open an outdoor restaurant. It is open Friday and Saturday for food and bar from 4-10pm. They also show outdoor movies starting at 9pm on Fri and Sat. They are also open for Sunday brunch from 11am-3pm. Overall, their food is AMAZING. It’s so delicious, I can never chose what to get. All of the staff is so friendly, kind, and helpful! Come out and support this local, women-owned business!”

“You have to know what is good there because a lot of stuff that they make are just terrible. Before the pandemic, I used to wince at the sight of their catering food. If I was not starving, I'd skip all of them. But then, lo and behold, I became a regular in the morning because they open early and have a nice dining space (plus on-site free parking, which is surprisingly not that common for coffee shops in the Ithaca area). Their latte is reliably decent and strong for me to work through the morning. I've sampled many of their pastry offerings and I dislike most of them with two notable exceptions: cannoli and apple puff. Those are actually good. I always take time to look through their pastry display case and will try new things when they have them. Service is usually efficient and some employees are excellent.”

“This is an absolutely lovely little restaurant. What they lack in space they make up for with an expansive menu full of absolutely delicious dishes. I never worry about ordering something new from here because everything is just so tasty. The prices are fair for the food quality and portions. The staff are super friendly and attentive. If it gets really busy the service might be a little slow going, but they always seem to do a good job handling a busy dinner service. Definitely worth the trip. I know this is such a glowing review it sounds unreal but this is just my absolute favorite restaurant in Ithaca, hands down. P.S. Don’t forget to tip your wait staff people, there is literally never an excuse not to.”

“Seriously impressive stuff. The decor is tasteful and modern with hints of more traditional Asian influences with the branches on the walls and the cutlery. The food is excellent and this is coming from someone who usually abhors Asian fusion restaurants. The green curry pasta that I got had great flavor with the curry base seeping through the noodles to create a great blend of taste with the crispy salmon on top adding nice tones of texture to the dish. All in all a great experience”

“So glad the store is back open. The new owner did a great job renovating. BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN ITHACA BY FAR OFFERED UNTIL 9PM EVERYDAY!! They now offer subs which are delicious, perfect for grab-n-go! Great brand new staff, they provided me with good service. Definitely going back. But, make sure you have your ID if you buying booze cause they didn't sell to me which I am glad as it protects the community I was told by the employee that the new policy is 100% ID.”

“Wonderful food, clean restaurant, great atmosphere. Outstanding beer selection to pair with your food. Homemade dressings, fresh ingredients. Kathy was most accommodating, super friendly!! She shared the history of Red's and the local area, since it was our first trip to the 'downtown' Ithaca area. The Thai wings are Amazing!! The Cuban was yummy with a mix of fresh flavors and ingredients that I would never think of, but they make it work! My hubby had the Cowabunga, which is some if the most tender well seasoned smoked brisket, topped with an apple slaw! The Ithaca Lakeside lager was crisp, cold, and a nice light hop flavor with a fruity flower finish! We splurged and got the mixed berry cobbler for dessert, and Kathy made sure we got hot fresh coffee for us when we asked. We know were to come to eat, sit and relax the next time we come into town! See you in May, when we come for our next Cornell Animal Hospital visit.”
