“Just happened to be meeting a friend in Katonah.. Saw the place and took a chance...We ordered wings and a Calabrese Square Grandma pan pizza.. Well.. Let's just say it was delicious.. Met Vinny behind the counter and his crew. They were wonderful. That pizza had some kick!!! They're only one block from the train station.. Stop in.. They'll treat you like family... “I have read and heard great things about The Whitlock. Not sure what I was expecting but walking through the entrance, the atmosphere was not to my personal liking. Pleasant but just lacked warmth. A lot of wood. A lot of banquette seating which means many diners face the wall. I sat at the bar and the bar stools were uncomfortable. First course was the Lobster BLT Rolls and they were amazing. One of the best lobster rolls I have ever eaten. I selected the spaghetti with shrimp entree which was blanketed in grated cheese which made the dish extremely dry. Usually grated cheese is an option offered at the table but this dish was doused in it by the chef in the kitchen. Too bad because this entree could be outstanding but the flavors are masked by the cheese. And I love grated cheese however this was just too much. Service at the bar was good and adequately friendly. Food came out a little too fast. Would have preferred some time in between courses. After 2 glasses of wine it would have been nice to have my glass "topped off" which occurs at many restaurants when you eat at the bar. Not here.”

“The food was yummy. Very gourmet for a diner. The soup of the day was chicken and rice. More delicious then I would have expected. We had the crab cake as an appetizer. They only give you one big one with avocados and tomatoes. 3 people had small portions of it. It was tasty. All in all the food was great but very over price. I would come only for special occasions. It's very small so about 4 people to a booth can be cramped. They are a very friendly and polite service. The vibe is diner but the food is high end. Lots of seafood options if your a seafood lover.”

“Tengda stands alone. The food is excellent. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it. I have a gluten allergy. As always, I called to inquire...the woman I spoke with was extremely knowledgeable, and she assured me that the kitchen would safely prepare my food separately. They did. The gluten free selection is very limited, but delicious. I recommend the Malaysian Wide Rice Noodle, and Fried Rice. So good. Thank you, Tengda!!!”

“Nice. As customers of the previous restaurants in this location, we were curious about the new place. While Katonah Woods has quite a different flavor from its predecessor,s it is terrific. The food was great, the atmosphere was fine and the staff was top-notch. The only thing I could suggest was perhaps lowering the music volume in the dining (non-bar) section, as the music when we dined was a bit loud for us. But that's more of an observation than a complaint. Best wishes to the management going forward!”

“No frills Chinese place. You know it's legit because their kids are working the counter. Don't expect stellar service - this is takeout Chinese were taking, not the Bellagio. If you can keep the interaction to a minimum there is no disappointment in the service. Food is pretty good.”
