“My Boyfriend and I did a day trip from Shallotte NC to visit White Lake for the Day upon leaving we were unsure as to where to go on a Sunday to eat locally or in nearby Elizbethtown we just happen upon this place after googling it and from a few locals to go it would not disappoint!! I just want to say this little place was excellent the food was so good not to mention the hospitality that was shown us by the owner herself Glenda and her husband who made it a point to talk with us personally and to ask and make sure our food was good more then once! This is down home cooking at its best and the value is great not to mentioned the incredible Desserts which Ms Glenda specializes in! If you don't know the area go and look this little place up and I promise you will love it. Thank you Ms Glenda we will be back again and recommend to all our friends and family!”

“Occasionally, I get a hankering for one of Melton's subs. They have large subs - about a ten inch sub- (turkey, ham and cheese, chicken and bacon, or a meat combo available) with your option of mayo, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, banana peppers, and sauce (oil & vinegar mix with Italian herbs & seasoning) you can get it toasted, too. The meats are not top of the line, but good. I get a large ham and cheese (comes with provolone) with all toppings, except banana peppers, cut in half to take home. It comes with a small condiments cup with the sauce to add later, and a pickle. I split it with my husband and it costs us $7.59 with tax.”
