Angus Steakhouse and Seafood Calabash

From start to finish we were impressed. As we walked in we were greeted by a lovely hostess who was most concerned with our comfort. She looked very professional and smelled really nice. She sat us in a cute little booth with a nice view. Our server Travis was amazing. He was definitely at our every beck and call (which made us feel a little like family or at the very least old friends). He joked and laughed with us but not in a fake way like most servers. He answered all our questions including the dumb questions. We both had the Surf and Turf (22.99). The portions were a little overwhelming. The steaks were perfectly crafted and seasoned. Not too dry or too spicy. The drinks were to die for. Each one better than the last. I can honestly say that if you don't give this place a try you'll be missing out. Everyone we interacted with were as polite and courteous. This place is a double threat in that the food was melt in your mouth epic and the staff was as accommodating and polite as possible. The restaurant hasn't been opened long as Angus steakhouse and seafood so at first glance we were worried about the fact that the parking lot was basically empty whilst the surrounding restaurants parking lots were a little more crowded.
As soon as we walked in the doors any worries we had were eliminated by the smells of the varieties of food and the vip treatment from the staff. The hostess immediately made us feel welcome and special. I truly believe this restaurant is going to be around for the long haul. We will be repeat customers.

Had an early dinner here today. The sirloin steak has really good flavor, great cut, and cooked to perfection. One of the best I’ve had in the area. We sat at the bar and Anthony took care of us. He is very attentive and extremely personable. Menu has a good selection. Highly recommend this place!

By far the BEST steak I have ever had in the area from MB to Wilmington. In fact, probably one of the best steaks I've had anywhere in several years. Great cut, perfectly cooked medium-rare, delivered while still piping hot. Our server was Trey, and he was attentive without hovering, responded quickly to requests, and was very informative while our group of 6 were mulling over the dinner selections. Very reasonable pricing too, especially considering the quality of the food and service! From this point on, whenever I visit the Calabash area, I will make absolutely sure my dining plans revolve around Angus Steakhouse and Seafood. Just a fantastic experience all around!

Give these guys a chance had turf & surf special ribs & catfish with baked sweet potato my wife ordered chicken strips with a baked potato. This was our first trip here since Angus took over we have eaten on the Calabash water front many times. My first impression walking in was a clean freshly renovated venue with amazing views of the inter coastal waterway from the back dining area. Tony our waiter was did a nice job of explaining the menu & getting us our beverages. I was quite pleased with my ribs & cat fish getting great ribs in a restaurant is hard these were fresh moist with a lot of meat on the bone and my catfish was fresh and not greasy I also sampled my wife’s chicken strips and was quite pleased it was a huge portion and they were moist & tender. Pricing was similar to many eateries down in Calabash I think these guys have a bright future oh I didn’t see any shrimp on the menu the only knock I got. Try them out next time ur in Calabash.

Nicely appointed western style restaurant. Just opened when we came to town and stopped in for dinner. Not busy. It was Monday around 6pm. Service was okay. I feel we had a newbie to the waitstaff business. She would take off for long periods of time and maybe remember to bring back what we needed;)
I Ordered a steak and lobster dinner - of course. The steak was okay. A bit chewy for medium. The lobster was delicious, just very, very, very petite. I did get a salad with my meal but I had to order it separately. You could only get one side with your meal and I had to get the mashed garlic potatoes of course. 😋 This dinner was a "special" so maybe other entree selections had another choices for sides (?). Maybe the steak off the regular menu would be better (just pricey).
There is potential here. The restaurant is so cool looking, but the food, and maybe the staff, needs a little help.

We came to the waterfront to eat on a beautiful evening. Saw the new Angus Steak House and decided to give it a try. They said they were only open for 6 days.
We all enjoyed our meal and Travis gave us great service.
The restaurant was nice, clean and friendly. The view was excellent. I'm sure as they pick up in popularity it will become better and better.
