“OMG….. we ate here for the first time tonight(7/16/22). I had the crab cakes & my husband had the creek shrimp…he’s not a huge seafood person but he said the shrimp were really good…. Me on the other hand, I could eat seafood everyday. These crab cakes were the best I’ve had since moving here 2 yrs ago… they were AWESOME. We will definitely be going again.”

“Had a wonderful dinner with family and friends. Wait staff was on point, food was spot on. The corn ribs , oh goodness, I’ve been wanting them again daily since we went. We ate on the porch area and it was surprisingly comfortable. Their bloody Mary’s were very good, the only change I’d make is add fun garnishes to that drink. Thank you for a great evening.”

“They have the best tacos you can get anywhere within 40 mins from calabash, they are pretty authentic and tasty. They make their own pineapple and green salsa that is delicious by itself, with chips, or all over your taco. “Homemade Italian dishes made from fresh ingredients on-site. Attentive service. Comfortable, casual setting. We started with the house salad - very fresh greens dressed with a nicely blended Italian - not too tart and not overly seasoned. Our entrees (shrimp scampi and prosciutto wrapped manicotti) were very well prepared, served piping hot and delicious! This was our first visit and we definitely will return.”

“I asked an employee at Dollar Tree where she would go if she wanted a good, “down home” breakfast. She told me Homestyle Foods, not fancy but very good food. Boy, was she right! It is so unassuming, located in the center of a strip mall! It’s diner food, but on a higher level. I decided on lunch, and had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. (Those are the sides it comes with, and is listed as such on the menu!). I was pleasantly surprised! A HUGE piece of meatloaf, and the BEST I have ever eaten! I could see the diced onions, and it was covered with brown gravy, instead of tomato sauce or ketchup, which complemented this meatloaf perfectly. The mashed potatoes were real, but nothing special, and the green beans were obviously from a can. But the meatloaf! I even returned to have the meatloaf a second time during my week of vacation at Holden ?Beach! But they had sold out of the meatloaf! Instead I had Country Fried Steak. It was good, seasoned well, breaded and deep fried, with white gravy. It was very tasty, I just had my mouth set for their Meatloaf!”

“I work here and oysters are my favorite food. I won the oyster eating contest in Connecticut this year and I practiced all year in the best place to do it! A lot of my family work here too. They are oyster shucking champions! Fun and friendly environment! No matter who you are Lloyd will always take the take the time to welcome you and give u a guided tour from start to finish! Lloyd's an awesome person and very down-to-earth and easy to talk to! The man will go above and beyond to help anyone he can in anyway possible! The food was good the first two times but better this last visit. There have been some changes in the menu that are much better. we ordered the wings... Best in the area! We also had the seafood pasta and it was very good and very reasonably priced. Pork nacho special was delicious. We will be back.”

“One of my family's favorites!!! The view is absolutely incredible! The kids love the shark hanging up and the dressed up shrimp. You can't NOT order the hush puppies! My 6 year old talked about them from the moment we got to North Carolina! I got the yellow fin tuna and sweet potato fries. The tuna melted in my mouth and the fries were amazing! “We were tourists for the week and were going to stop at another popular restaurant. The wait was extremely long so we came here. The waitress Melissa was the nicest waitress ever. She went out of her way to please us. Played with our infant son. Just a great person, she deserves some recognition. My lack of 5 stars came from the menu. Charging $1.99 for refills after 1. That's highway robbery. I work as a general manager for a fast food chain. I know exactly what profit is made off of soda. It is incredibly cheap and even at selling ours for $1 and free refills, we still make a large profit!!! Also the menu seems hectic and not a good selection. Condense the menu and get strong at it.”
