A true culinary treat with South African flare. Friendly staff, lovely location and a gem of an addition to Black Mountain, bravo!

We had a very nice dining experience at Bush Farmhouse, sitting outside at a cozy picnic table. The flavors are unique and interesting, the setting very relaxing, Mark and Skyler were personable and quite attentive. There was a small issue with one of our meals and Skyler took care of it admirably. We really enjoyed the Bunny Chow Curry (no bunnies involved), charcuterie board, and Crispy Brussels.
Be sure to say hello to Candy, Piddles & Paddles, Meg & Jane. ;)

I'll be back. But I'll give them a couple of months. Food flavors great. However, service poor and portions VERY inconsistent. As is true of too many restaurants, they need to train their staff, including kitchen, before turning them loose. Everything but the egg was cold. The server was very sweet, but hesitant on every question. No coffee offered at a brunch?

But, as I said, I will be back. They deserve patience, and the food flavors are great.

While visiting Black Mountain find your way to something of a epicurean adventure. The setting of the establishment has not only flavor profiles of mixed South African fusion but vibes and decor to match. From farmers markets on the weekends to eclectic dishes from the owners homeland the atmosphere is welcoming. As a new business such as this they are trying in earnest to find their rhythm in the kitchen and out on the bustling restaurant floor. The food is worth the wait and the friendliness and warmth from staff and owner are evident. Swing by and relax at the bar with a well crafted cocktail or brews as your table becomes available. You’ll be happy you’d stopped by. ***Group favorites include the spicy lamb curry, and Bush Burgers. Cheers!!!
