This place is a cocktail & tapas bar and entertainment venue with the most incredible attention to detail. Baxter’s 1982 provides a big-city jazz lounge experience with its own unique twist, right in downtown New Bern. While the food and drinks are incredible, the attention to providing a live music experience every evening is the feature what’s really show-stopping. “I’ve been here several times since they opened in December and everything is delicious! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and the warm sake is perfect on a chilly winter night! It’s a really unique, cool addition to downtown New Bern- a place to come for sake, sushi and amazing ramen. The service is great and the staff makes you feel at home! “The restaurant is very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and everyone seemed very happy to be there. Unfortunately we were not very happy with our Steak and Cheese subs. The meat appeared to be very low quality. (Rubbery) But the prices are definitely fair. After seeing the small personal pizzas being carried to another table, we will definitely be trying out there pizza.They looked picture perfect. Overall a beautiful restaurant and the bathrooms are the nicest in town. I look forward to trying out the entire menu. Awesome staff and beautiful comfortable atmosphere.”
