Finnigan's Wake

Got to town late in the evening and the hotel recommended this place. I was impressed. It was a Monday evening and the place was busy with local traffic, which is always a good sign. The food was much better then expected and service was great. If you are in town eat here, have a pint or two and enjoy.

We got their small entrees and they were huge portion sizes. The corned beef and bangers and mash were both delicious. The Scotch eggs were great. I like the mustard that is served with it. The waitress was kind and quickly took our orders. We will definitely come back.

Great beer selection with a lot of local beers. Knowledgeable staff, and food is good as well. Good Irish pub vibe and decor. Overall a very cool place, worth stopping if you're in the area.

The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice and the restaurant was clean. The menu choices all sounded wonderful. They have a lot to choose from. Everything I had here was very yummy. Most places garnish water with lemon, but they used cucumber. How absolutely refreshing!! The draw to this establishment for me though, Scotch Eggs on the menu!!! Scrumptious!! Can't wait to revisit!

I would most likely would have given them 5 starts but I only had the soup of the day which was Butternut Squash. It was AMAZING!! My friends ordered a variety of things from the menu that looked wonderful. I am looking forward to my visit to try something new. Service was good as well ????
