“I had the chicken cutlet sub and it was pretty good. Can't speak for the pizza yet but I enjoyed the sub. Employees were super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back to try the pizza and get another sub. Fries were good but unfortunately since I got this to go they didn't quite hold up to the ten minute drive home. I think the fries would have been a lot better fresh. Sub did make the trip home and was still hot and delicious. Definitely recommend trying this place out.”

“The Service first of all was excellent... Dinner at Village Tavern atmosphere was relaxed, and classy. They had outdoor seating with great social distancing. The food was really good...filet mignon tacos, black beans and rice. Yummy. Pear Martini sweet but good...the pear was scrumptious!”

“This place is nice! Was immediately greeted by Lee and his wonderful wife, Velvet! Manager on duty, Jameshia, was amazing and very nice when taking our order. She was sure to get it right! My mother had the Tarheel Burger and I had the chicken taco. She loved it and I loved my taco so good, I HAD to go back to get another one! Lee used to be my manager at an old job and he is truly wonderful!”

“The BIG GULP sign caught my attention! Purchased gas at the tank with no problem. Im not sure what I was expecting when I walked into the store but I was pleasently surprised. The store is well lite, neat and clean. Everything I viewed was stocked and neatly shelved. The fountain drink area was clean, stocked and non sticky. The cashier was nice and courteous. Im so glad I visted the store and will probably visit again!”

“We tried this restaurant for the first time this weekend and believe it to have good potential. The location is a little bare bones but very clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. The only issue we have is with the quality of the food. For example, the garlic cheese bread is a mass produced hoagie with cheese and Italian seasoning, not worth the price. The Sicilian style pizza we purchased was a large create your own with single toppings and the top of the dough, under the cheese, was nearly raw dough. The crust and bottom were great but it wasn't cooked thoroughly before placing the toppings on and it made the pizza chewy. The marinara & pizza sauce were great but the pizza itself seemed to lack seasoning.”

“Today I tried the Jamaican Curried Goat with Fried Plantains and Coco Bread. The food was delicious! The curried goat was good, the rice and peas that comes with the goat was the good, the mixed cabbage that came with the goat was good, everything was good! I will be coming back for more but I was not pleased to learn that their sanitation grade was a B. Therefore, if their sanitation grade drops a letter grade or two then I will not be back.”

“Very nice tasty marinated shredded beef quesadilla w/side salad for reasonable price. Fresh salad, with large scoops of sour cream & guacamole on the side. Another person in our party had the shredded pork tacos and said they were very good. Came with nice amount of chopped Cilantro on each. The red sauce is HOT as indicated on the bottle so believe it! The place was busy with both eat in & take out orders at Saturday lunchtime & parking is limited but we parked in the next door business's parking lot as they are closed on the weekends. Wait time for our order was minimal. We will definitely eat there again.”

“The food was delicious! I had the hippie and they did a great job of adjusting it a little for my diet. They give you plenty for the price, and it was ready really fast. The only negative is not enough seating, but that's not their fault, covid regulations on seating. We will definitely be going back again. I want to try the tree hugger. Hopefully, we will be able to get a table and get the full Taco Mama experience.”

“My girlfriend ordered the chicken biscuit and fries and she loved it! The fries were so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I ordered the Young Cardinal special and it was so good. I took the biscuit, cut it in half placed the fried chicken, cheddar eggs, and hash browns in it and man it was incredible. Also the hashbrowns are seasoned to perfection. Staff was super friendly as well. Definitely will be going back!”
