“Food was decent, I enjoyed their chicken wings. They also have Mongolian bbq. It's not the biggest buffet choices I have seen but it has a bit for everyone. We checked the bathroom it was just wet but overall clean, staff is fairly friendly. Our experience is different from what others have complained about. “LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. Family friendly environment. As soon as you seat yourself here they come to your service. And then if your like me you already know what you want to eat. Then in about 5 to 10mins here comes the food. They are very attentive and gives the best customer service. I'm a regular and have been over 10 years. “I have found my new place to order amazing deli sandwiches from. Acadia foods has something for everyone's liking. Their menu is endless and the have such a variety of coffees and teas to choose from too. If you are in a hurry which I am most of the time call your order 10 minutes ahead of time, then they will have it ready in time. My recommendation off of the menu would have to be the pastrami sandwich (hot) or the reuben.”

“The only bad thing is that I don't live closer to Slappy's. This place has become one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the area. Simple. To the point. Focused on a few things and does them exceptionally well. The fried chicken is some of, if not, the best fried chicken I have ever had. The chicken is juicy and the breaded skin is crispy and never soggy. When asked if you want it dipped in their sauce, the ONLY CORRECT ANSWER IS YES. It's spicy and slightly sweet. It'll get your sinuses running without destroying your taste buds. It's a good addictive. I never have enough bread to sop the remaining sauce up. The green chili is fantastic, filled with flavor and nice chunks of that same chicken. And the chips that come with the chili. Come on, Slappy's...do something mediocre so I don't order the whole menu each time. The mac n cheese can be a bit peppery from time to time, but it pairs well with the sauce so there's a method to the madness. The pricing is perfect. The atmosphere is all it needs to be because the focus is on the food. Always looking forward to getting Slappy's when in Winston-Salem.”

I feel this business makes great food and my family and I enjoy it but based on the cashier I encountered the experience could have been better. She seemed a little absent and was taking orders and money and handling food all in one swoop. No gloves, no soap, no water. She didn't give us our mashed potatoes or the drink that came with my husband's meal. The manager was great she righted the wrong and I'm a happy camper.”

“I go there and get the general chicken which comes with pork fried rice. Broccoli and egg roll. Very delicious. They have a wide variety of Chinese food selection. So many it would be hard to name them all here. Clean restroom and restaurant. Has tables and a high chair for a baby. Ask for Winn he is a great guy. It is a small place but good for a quick meal. They have take out if you can't stay to dine in. Plus it's in the southeast plaza shopping center so you can shop as well.”

Even though the economy is not the same as it was back in that time era, I believe that the food still the same and that the portions of food are still as big. The taste lf the food is tantalizing. ADVICE: If you have difficulty sitting on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, bring a cushion. You'll get either a wood bench, wood chair, or wood barstool. Oh, and it ain't cheap!”
