We got lucky and stumbled across the pub on St. Patrick’s Day. Coming off a recent trip to Scotland, we found the decor spot on! We had awesome Scottish Cider, yummy Haggis egg rolls, and Irish nachos. We met new friends enjoyed the live band! One big happy Scottish/Irish Family 🏴🇮🇪💚🧡💙☘️
I brought my family here because we had been to Scotland and really enjoyed the atmosphere and food of the pubs we had visited. We were able to park in a parking lot right next to the location, which was great. We walked in and found that we could get ourselves some menus and find ourselves a seat. It was pretty hard to find a seat because it’s very popular and we had five in our party, but we found one relatively quickly. We ordered at our table, which was an easy process, the people working were very kind and patient. They have a water dispenser at the bar for those who need it, which was really cool. On to the food… my pictures are not the best because I was so excited to dig in that I forgot to take a picture when the appetizer and my meal came out. The haggis egg rolls were interesting, but I don’t think they were my favorite. The chicken schnitzel was absolutely amazing, though. Very nice and crispy, and a hefty portion. The lemon went very well on it. We also got the mac and cheese, and it was not as spicy as I had anticipated, so it was really good. All in all, we had a great time here, and I would love to come back to try more of their menu.
Went with group of friends for early dinner and to listen to Irish music Sunday afternoon. Beautiful interior although very dark and not conducive for conversation in large groups. Music was very good as was food and service for large table. Will be back. Note Mac and Cheese listed as "spicy" is not for the faint of heart!
Our first visit was a very positive and enjoyable experience. My wife ordered the Chicken Schnitzel and thoroughly enjoyed the Schnitzel, mashed potatoes and pea and carrot vegetables. She also ordered Lucy's Fur Coat cocktail similar to a Moscow Mule.
I ordered the Bangers & Mash and thought it was very tasty. Three small sausages with mashed potatoes and pea and carrot veggie. I opted for an Irish Red Ale that was smooth and frothy.
Our server Deanna was excellent and attentive. As others have noted the ambience is subdued but not dark.
We will be back.
Stopped in for the first time today. Inside and out, this place is lookin great! The dark pub decor mixed with amazing drinks and awesome food. Service was great as well. Had the fish and chips which was out of this world. Fluffy inside and crispy outside, the fish was stellar. Drinks were priced well and poured well. We also had the Mac N Beer cheese with pulled pork, yum! Will definitely be returning to the Scotsman!!
