I love waffle house and usually the toast is burned and the hashbrowns are overcooked (no matter how fast or slow the restaurant is). “I have had the most amazing Fried Chicken from The Chicken Barn for about 2 years. It is crispy and not greasy. Yummy. For the first time yesterday, I was introduced to the BBQ sauce with the chicken strips I purchased. It was delicious. Sweet, but not too sweet, not vinegary( if that is a word), just perfect. My son got the dipped chicken fingers in the sauce, but I got the plain chicken fingers with sauce on the side. I was so glad I did. I made a call today to see if they sell the sauce and they do by the gallon. I will be purchasing this in the near future. I have only had the take out as I am usually in a hurry to get somewhere. I have never been disappointed. Love The Chicken Barn!!!”

The chips may have been under light to long as they had a burnt taste, do not order guacamole, on side, salty and I don't think they bothered to use any other ingredients besides the avocado. “Local place, with old country music playing. From Conway to Alan Jackson. Ava Gardner memorabilia on the walls along with the old metal signs. Friendly staff, husband and wife team. He's the cook, she's the waitress. Yummy food. Everything is cooked on a griddle, he's talented! Home fries are diced red potatoes, slightly seasoned. Tenderloin, not breaded! Yay! Perfectly grilled and seasoned with pepper. The gravy was delicious. My date had two scrambled eggs, link sausage, home fries, and toast. The link sausage was perfectly seasoned with sage other spices. Everything still cooked on a griddle, nothing deep fried, or dropped in hot oil to cook, like most places use. Definitely would come back for breakfast! Must try for lunch.”

I'm one of "those horrible people" who want it cooked medium well, but I know it's difficult to do so and end up with something other than a hockey puck. Well, their "Feed your head" burger was the most delicious burger I had ever had. It was cooked to perfection! Juicy, but not overly greasy, satisfying without weighing you down. And the fries are some of the best I've ever put in my mouth! Perfectly crispy and seasoned. My husband had shrimp & grits with a lemon cream sauce that he raved about, and it's family friendly enough that my 14 month old grandson enjoyed himself the whole time! If burgers aren't your thing, they have plenty of other creative, quirky, delicious dishes! I'm thinking we need to make this a weekly thing, so we can work through all the menu items that appeal to us. I love to see a local business hustle, put out good product, and be successful, and it seems they have it down.”
